Pork Hamburger Found Here at Comi Comi Hamburger Sandwich, Bundusan

Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
Serving Non Halal

(Pork Burger), finger food, all day breakfast and even serving Instant Korean Noodle with Luncheon Meat are available here.

Never knew that Comi Comi serving varieties of express dish and we only knew it when we visited there this afternoon for a tea session.

Well, we had Luncheon Meat with Egg White Burger 午餐肉馒头 and Scallion Cake with Ham 葱油饼. The Scallion Cake seems like "Roti Canai" for me!

Anyway, it was a nice place to chill for a cup of coffee and light meal with budget pricing. I like it!

KK Eats : Super Ono! Now We Could Have Fresh Poke Bowls!

Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Poke bowls in Kota Kinabalu would be a new type of cuisine inspired from Hawaii. Which "Poké" /poʊˈkeɪ is having diced raw fish served as either an appetizer or as a main course and it is one of the main dishes of Native Hawaiian cuisine.

Congratulation to Super Ono on their grand opening on 11th November, 2018.

The size of the actual poke bowl serving is as above.

A variety of fresh diced vegetables (side) and raw/cooked meat (salmon/tuna) for selection according to our preference.

As for the base, we could choose among white rice, brown rice, Quinoa, Seaweed Rice and Green Mix.

In fact, Vegetarian can visit Super Ono for their Poke Bowl, we only need to choose the green vegetables and protein. :)

Congratulation and it's a remarkable grand opening ceremony.

In country like Malaysia, having Lion Dances would be a norms for the Chinese during grand opening!

Price starts from RM16.90!

Go and have one today!

Pasta -

With years of experience, the hired chef prepared the chicken stock with eight (8) hours of boiling. The Cabonara Chicken Spaghetti was good. They are serving three types of pasta, Beef Bolognaise, Salmon Spaghetti and non the less white sauce (Cabonara) Chicken Spaghetti.

KK Eats : Kedai Kopi Koki - Tasty Penang Assam Laksa found! Bundusan Pavilion

Bundusan Pavilion

Recently, it's been a while that I have noticed Bundusan Pavilion's area do offers variety of food to eat, from Japanese food, Wine cellar, cafes and local famous eateries.

Alex has been telling me about this restaurant which offers foods at reasonable price and providing satisfied portion as well. That's made me went for a try and I have been there twice last month.

Kon Lou Noodle -

Kedai Kopi Koki is a restaurant serving non halal food. Alex had Kon Lou Noodles (Sang Nyuk Mian), definitely different flavour as compared to the few famous Sang Nyuk Mian Restaurant.

Penang Assam Laksa -

I have heard about the Penang Assam Laksa that Koki Coffee Shop offers. I never tried an authentic one, therefore it is a must to try just like I told my friends. :D

Penang Assam Laksa -

The brown colour sauce is rojak sauce which taste the same like the one from Penang. The bowl of noodles is the correct noodles for Assam Laksa! The flavour was taste like Sardin and spices! It is Penang Assam Laksa!

Charlotte Credit to Charlotte -

The first phrase I have said was "IT IS SO GOOD!". Its' been so long since the last I had Zhu Chang Fen. Wow! This plate do make some credit for sure!

Overall, the shop was quite satisfied. Portion okay, reasonable price and service okay. I will visit them once in a while for breakfast. :)

Sabah Fun 【沙巴玩】 Penampang : Day Trip to Tagal Tinopikon Park, Kg. Notoruss

Moyoq River is one of the most beautiful rivers in Sabah. Despite the warm weather, it felt rather relaxing and soothing taking a break as the trees shade you from the sun and rhythm of the nature further compliments the experience. - See more at: http://www.sabahtourism.com/destination/tagal-tinopikon-park#sthash.GkqXM4mB.dpuf

Was being invited to a local village of Sabah to experience the lifestyle of the villages along the one of the most beautiful river in Sabah - Moyog River.

- Hanging Bridge of Tinopikon Park -

45 minutes drive from the city and entering the village/ park via hanging bridge, finally we make it. No pollution, just breezy and fresh air.

We were welcomed with local musical instruments played by the native villagers. :) Did I tell you that there are twins in every generation of the villagers, and they even danced for us to see!

Here are some of the activities that we can do if we happened to be there.

- Local Outdoors Games -

Running here and there. Oh boy... that's something I never seen before expect for the old school darts.

- Hiking -

It's time to go hiking and time to learn. The environment, the surrounding, the plants etc.

- The Native House -

If I'm not mistaken, the house is one of the oldest at Kg. Notoruss. Refurnished and more than 50 years perhaps.

- Wild Fruits -

It was my first to try "wild mangosteen". Taste like mangosteen for real and it is small in size.

- Lots of Fruits -

The villagers earn their living by selling fruits daily. There's plenty of local fruits for us to buy with very reasonable price too!

- Rubber Tree -

We have the chance to learn rubber tapping.

It was not easy to wake up at 4am in the morning to tap the rubber tree and collect the latex after.

- Nepenthes Plant -

Wild nepenthes was found along the way in the jungle.

It is also a good exercise and breathing the fresh air while hiking.

- Water Fountain -

Deep inside the jungle and finally we reach the clear water, unpolluted fountain.

Certainly clear water and be careful of that slippery rocks!

It is time to return to the riverside. :)

- Fish feeding -

Huge fishes!! Ticklish and fun feed feeding along the riverside. :) I do miss that, like a lot!

About TAGAL, it is a KadazanDusun language that means "prohibition". It is a eco-system that managed by the park community to prohibits people like me and you to catch those fishes at Moyog River. There's only one duration that we are allowed to catch fishes.

- Entertainment Time -

The local musical instruments to entertain guests like us to the village.

- Local Delicacies -

Tuhau and small fishes. The foods served were prepared by the locals there, don't think of very glorious dining but we should try their local taste. :) I had a lot of their porridge and chicken soup! Yummy!

- The Family Bound -

Nothing can define a family. :) Truly, I love this random shot along the river of Tinopikon Park.

Overall, Tagal Tinopikon Park will be one of the park that I will introduce to friends and family whoever wish to experience bits of the local life of native Sabahan for a day. :)

Food in Sabah : Kota Kinabalu - Crepe Cake by Cafe De Vie, Lintas

We often heard about crepe cake, the layered thin pancakes with cream and fruits in between.

Finally, a new cafe in town named Cafe De Vie started their business few months ago and their star dessert is CREPE! One of the dessert that I would love to try for a long time.

Therefore, you know what I will do next! We went there on a Sunday afternoon for coffee chillin time. :)

- Rum and Raisin Crepe Cake and Hot Cappuccino -

I love the simple concept of the cafe, a very cozy cafe for a long chat too. The cappuccino wasn't sweet at all, which is good and add in sugar according to our preference.

As for the crepe cake, I like the soft texture of it, crepe wasn't sweet as well. Some may say their crepes wasn't nice, as what I could comment, something different and currently I have visited twice to the cafe and until I found the next cafe with delicious crepe, maybe by that time, it is suitable for me to comment which one nicer. ;) Frankly speaking, they haven't catch my attention that made me crave their crepes very much, yet.

By the way, maybe they could add a bit more on the rum! I didn't taste any rum during my first visit the other day.

However, I will be visiting them once in a while in the future. ;)

Seafood Feast at KL Style BBQ & Steamboat, Penampang, Sabah

*Invited food review*

ANOTHER STEAMBOAT/ HOT POT RESTAURANT IN TOWN!!

Few of us attended food review few weeks ago. Together with Beverly from Take Another Step, Charlotte from Charlotte Fong, Nathalie from Singing Coconut, Tom from Rungitom (KK bloggers) and Terence, my bf tagged along as well, we had a great night with fresh seafood steamboat/ hotpot! Enjoyed ourselves during the food review with various seafood that we could have especially on a RAINY DAY! We stuffed ourselves with so many foods!

- The lighter version of steamboat we had -

The soup base that KL Steamboat have, Chicken Soup (left) and Tom Yum Soup (right). The soup taste light and non additive of MSG in it that we don't felt thirsty for the whole night while and after the steamboat dinner we had! Even without chilled beverages.

And there goes the snap shots for our steamboat night out!

- The Restaurant to be reviewed - KL Style BBQ & Steamboat -

I do remember my last visit during my birthday steamboat night at KL, trust me, this one looks similar / the same with my visit at KL with varieties of seafood and mixed cold storage cooked materials to choose with.

- BBQ/ Frying Pan -

There are two options, sitting inside the air-conditioned restaurant and sitting outside at the open air space. If we are sitting outside, we could fried/ barbeque our selection with the sizzling hot pan outside the restaurant itself. While as for customers who sit inside the restaurant, we will be lucky enough to get the owner (Ah Loong) to fried for us or WE PAN FRIED OURSELVES!! Be our own cooked #likeaboss :D

- Reasonable Pricing -

Adult : RM25.00 (Member : RM22.00), Children, age from 4 to 12 : RM10.00 nett and age below 4 : FREE!

- Inside the spacious restaurant -

- Various Fresh Meat and Seafood -

- Various cooked cold storage materials -

- Nestle Ice Creams -

Terence love chocolate ice cream and he finished it within minutes and forgot I want to eat it as well. (-_-")

- Seafood Pot -

The other hot pot that Charlotte and Tom having at the other table, meant for crabs, clams, prawns and other seafood. Beverly is sensitive with clams, so I had my prawns from the other pot! :)

- Ready to Serve -

- That's Ah Loong, the Owner -

Ah Loong was pan frying and barbeque-ing for the customers inside the restaurant.

- Our Satisfying Faces -

And I missed the ABC (Shaved Ice) they had after I left earlier with Terence. :/ Very nice home made ABC that I see from photos shared!!!
