China Guide : Fu Jian (V.1) - 11 Days 10 Nights

Guide to Fu Jian (福建), China (中国)

(Dong Shan).

We had our transit from Guang Zhou to Fu Zhou during our trip. The province and sub provinces that we have visited during our 11 days and 10 nights were 广州 (Guang Zhou) and 福建 (Fu Jian).

In this entry, it is all about the summary on Fu Jian Province, the sub provinces that we have visited are 武夷山 (WuYi Mountain), 福州 (Fu Zhou), 厦门 (Xia Men), 永定 (Yong Ding) and 东山 (Dong Shan).

(WuYi Mountain)

The experience at Mt. WuYi was one of the remarkable one, I love the scenery and the cold breezy air there. We went to watch Producer, Zhang Yi Mou's work of art for Mt. Wu Yi - 大红袍 Da Hong Pao, it was amazing with 365 degree surrounding musical drama!

  * Sightseeing at night - Lifestyle
Yeo Hwa Resort
The Cloud's Lair, Heavenly Tour and Peach Blossom Paradise Scenic Area

Stage Performance of DaHongPao
Tea Garden, Tread of Sky, Wind Cave and Tiger Roar Cliff

2. 福州 (Fu Zhou)

If we have the chance to visit Fu Jian, it is a must to visit the capital and largest city of FuJian - Fu Zhou!

The Garden of Min River and Yong Quan Temple

Lin ZeXu and Cultural Street ShanFangQiXiang

(Xia Men)

XiaMen is a city where it is located at the border to Taiwan. The lifestyle and culture of Xia Men is similar to Taiwan, I even thought I was visiting Taiwan when I visited their Pedestrian Street!

Bullet Train and ZhongShan Pedestrian Street

Pedestrian area of GuLangYu

4. 永定 (Yong Ding)

Yongding is a district under the jurisdiction of Longyan prefecture-level city in the southwest of Fujian Province. It is the home of many Hakka-speaking families.

Because of its location and not many tourists will choose Yong Ding as their visiting preference. The dinner we had surprised us as in a no no way and the weather was cold and we even can feel the temperature drop when we were in the hotel, I covered myself with layers!

Tu Lou/ House of Clay

5. 东山 (Dong Shan)

Dongshan District was a former district in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China located to the west of Tianhe District and the east of Yuexiu District. It was the political and cultural centre of Guangdong Province and noted for its high quality education.

Fun In FuZhou & XiaMen, China : Bullet Train & ZhongShan Pedestrian Street

China Part 5 - Fu Zhou (福州) & XiaMen (厦门), Northern FuJian (福建)

So our tour in FuZhou ended when we left via Bullet Train. :)

The experience with first class bullet train ride was good (inside the train) while standing between China men and women were one kind of experience. haha :D

Here are few of the photos to summarise my journey from FuZhou to XiaMen. Well, I do miss Xia Men, it was amazing!

- Fu Zhou Train Station -

- Bullet Train -

Although it was first class that we had, the price was reasonable and train is one of the cheap and convenient transportation in China, better than the long road trip. I should say, we should learn from China with their modern technology, they are amazing!

- Hours of ride -

- Train Ticket -

- First Class -

How many first class we can have in life?

- Random Shot -

Remember to open our eyes to see things out there!

Choo Choo Choo and we arrived at ~~~

- XiaMen (厦门) -

Hop in to our XiaMen tour bus and off we go to the first spot - The restaurant!

- The best in XiaMen -

The tour we took treated us with the VIP way, and of course, we paid #likeaboss too.

Back to the hotel and rest for a while and we went to the well known Zhong Shan Pedestrian Street.

(ZhongShan Pedestrian Street) -

The pedestrian street gave me a feel of walking in Taiwan and yes, they were influenced by Taiwan culture which located next to XiaMen. We can get a ride via ship in fact.

Here are what we had and see!

- Shops -

Just to let you know that XiaMen's nightlife was fine, to get to know more about XiaMen, do have a look at their buildings at night. Those neon lights was great and those lights represent the best development of that province.

- My Night there -

First expensive coffee after that few days.

(ZhongShan Pedestrian Street) -

So many attractive things to see there. :)

- I love this! -

Very cute outlet that I didn't manage to visit, but only window shopping. :(

Well, I do love the culture of XiaMen. :) Good place to visit.

Hey Hey Hey!

Been lost for weeks and I'm back from China and in fact, I celebrated my birthday in China as well. :)

This will be a short update with some of the interesting yet beautiful places that I visited! And this time, the trip was good with perfect services (expect average food) and we enjoyed a lot during the trip.

广州 (Guang Zhou) and 福建 (Fu Jian) - 武夷山 (WuYi Mountain), 福州 (Fu Zhou), 厦门 (Xia Men), 永定 (Yong Ding) and 东山 (Dong Shan)!

(Xia Men) -

I love this sweet and cozy place, no motor vehicles except buggy on the island. Beautiful architecture and similar to Taiwan and Macau. :)

(Fu Jian) -

Magnificent scenery and friendly people that we met during our days at Wu Yi Mountain. :)

(Guang Zhou) -

Just to play safe, I brought my parents to Mc Donald/ Mc Cafe for coffee and snacks while seeing all the crowds from up there!

(Guang Zhou) -

The best porridge (Prawn Porridge) and Noodles we had for supper on the first night in Guang Zhou! Located at a stall opposite our hotel that we were went for overnight and flying off to Fu Zhou on the next morning.

(Fu Jian) -

Inspiring and impressed all of us from the outdoor theater show we have watched, freezing with temperature of 2C during the show, imagine the temperature getting low when the night getting darker.

- Bullet Train -

First class seat from Fu Zhou to Xia Men, 3 hours!

(Xia Men)  -

Finally the first cup of coffee I bought from a random cafe we walked in, while others doing their shopping.

(Dong Shan) 07.12.2013 -

And I got a surprise birthday cake from the tour company we signed with! Very simple yet noted one sweet memory, it was my first celebrating outside Malaysia.

-Gift from #Saturdate! -

Beverly from Take Another Step gave me a birthday gift before I left!

- Selfie -

We could only dress up in such a way that we can't in tropical weather like Malaysia. I always love my boots!

That's my updates for the day. Till then!
