Hainan 海南 : Back to my GrandFather's Home

Hainan, China.

For the past few months I was been busying to learn how to work a life as a business person and not as an employee of a Company. Some may think that I have lost my mind and should have live in a life that is easier with stable income. I am a Chartered Secretary, if you know me. And currently a Real Estate Negotiator, while still maintaining my passion with online platforms of various kind. I never stop seeking the best to challenge myself.

Many things happens throughout the months, family that worrying, friends that are no longer friends, and friends that hardly seen becomes closer and even knowing new friends with the same motive of life and discussing about businesses modules that I really enjoyed to learn more. In the other hand, I did engaged with talks that suits me as well.

I still loving my hobby/ interest - blogs, working online with my online platform KKBuy & Co. Basically, I love new trend especially how internet influenced me to grow beautifully. KKBuy's platform not only for products, but also promotional services etc.

Okay, back to Grandfather's home!

Hainan (海南) is a province in South China located in the South China Sea. It is the smallest and southernmost province of Mainland China, consisting of various islands in the South Sea. Hainan Island, separated from Guangdong's Leizhou Peninsula by the Qiongzhou Strait, is the largest and most populous island under PRC control and makes up the majority of the province. The name of the island and the province, Hainan, means "South of the Sea", reflecting its position south of the Qiongzhou Strait.  

There are a total of ten major cities and ten counties in Hainan Province. The capital of the province is Haikou, on the northern coast of Hainan Island, while Sanya is a well-known tourist destination on the southern coast. The other major cities are Wenchang, Qionghai, Wanning, Wuzhishan, Dongfang, and Danzhou. 

WENCHANG is my grandfather's home.

By the way, only that I know many friends are Hainanese too!

HaiKou (海口), Hainan (海南), China (中国) : Sightseeing HaiKou & Last Day in China!

Hainan, China - Part 9 - Sightseeing and last day in Hainan!

After we had visited 琼台书院 (QiongTai ShuYuan), we went for our dinner with other mates and back to the hotel for rest. 

- Dinner -

All of us were looking forward to have good dinner with the four signature dishes of Hainan - Hainanese Chicken, Crabs, Mutton and Duck. But it turns out to be another disappointing one. Small portion of food shared among 15 of us. My gosh! Moreover it was paid by all of us with sharing bills.

The condition even got complicated when we saw what we paid for that night could even paid for a luxurious dinner at the same restaurant. My aunt even asked the tourist guide and uncle complained to other tourist guide who brought tourist to have dinner at the same restaurant. 

- Sightseeing Haikou -

It was raining and elderly and HK tour mates who took the same tour package complained the tourist guide and tour leader, in the end, quarrel happened. Cut the story short, the tour guide had been suspended from work and so on when we are back in Malaysia.

Haikou is another city in Hainan, a developed city and weather was freezing cold.

Back to our hotel at night and hotel room was normal, meatball and I dated our uncle for a drink/ supper at the hotel lobby. Frankly speaking, I guess all of us did not had a good meal during our trip. I ate like a pig when I'm back to Hong Kong, felt like back to heaven in HK.

Back in our hotel room and wait for the time to leave the hotel, and when meatball switched on the light, BOOM! My gosh! We hugged together and totally need to calm down.

Anyway, I guess we should expect for what we had paid for. In fact, when we purchased packages from the wrong travel company, that's what we expect for.

Hainan, China - Part 8 - 琼台书院, 海口

Personally I love this place, all the calm and quiet surrounding suit us most.

 

琼台书院 (QiongTai ShuYuan)

Rain was drizzling and weather was cold, in other hand, we could even see the air blowing out from our mouth while we were having a conversation.

Now, let us see this college closely...

Translation : "Hainan and Taiwan College (QiongTai ShuYuan) is one of the famous monument in Hainan. Hainan and Taiwan College is Hainan foreign tourist units and also known as Hainan cultural relics conservation units, which located in Qiongshan town, Zhongshan North Road. The place was built to commemorate the scholar Qui Ju of Ming Dynasty."

HaiKou (海口), Hainan (海南), China (中国) : 琼海市游览 - 博鳌水城游船观光 Cruise Trip while Raining... =_=" Oh Boy...

Hainan, China - Part 7 - 琼海市游览 - 博鳌水城游船观光

It was raining and yet our tour guide won't allow us to say "NO" for the cruise program.

And the weather was extremely cold and windy, imagine most of us felt like flying and hair was a mess. :/ Crap!

And here are what we encountered during the cruise trip.

- Walk to the jetty -

Slippery and way too pack with local tourists as well. Crazy!

- Landed the opposite "island"? -

And let gets thing straight to the point, there's a well known person who will took his signature pose at the island and shoulder wide open that left will be the open sea and at the right will be the stone just like the one at the next photo. Representing the power of a person.

I don't have a nice picture of mine with shoulder wide open, so... you just imagine la! 

We walked a while and chasing our tour guide to bring us back to the main land.

And that ended our cruise trip with complains.

Hop into the tour bus and off we go to the next destination and getting nearer to go back Hong Kong.

Just like what we could see from China movie. In fact, I do like to see the local architecture that represent the originality of them. This picture could relate so much.

I remember that I saw plenty of agriculture while in the bus, either huge or smaller ones.

And NATURE CALLED US! Time for date with the washroom and totally dropped some of our eyes that we need go into the bushes and NO WAY... I just waited for the next petrol station and where I found FOOD!!!! YUMMYYYY!! Heavenly food on that trip in Hainan, finally.

- Coffee at  Petrol Station Cafe -

It was so random that we went for WC visit and since we still have time for stop over, we went into the cafe for coffee. And Oh yes! Coffee was great (although a bit pricey)! All the happy faces can be seen on that trip from all of my family.

- Hainanese Chicken Rice -

I think it was the best meal we had during that trip, the meals included and arranged by our tour guide just awful and weird.

We didn't even had our satisfying four signature dishes of Hainan - Hainanese Chicken (文昌鸡), Lamb (东山羊), Duck (家蒸鸭) and crab (螃蟹). Tour guide claimed that all four are the signatures dishes which I only knew one. hehe. (:P) Just disappointed with the expensive meal and small portion prepared during the last meal we had and kid you not, 15 of us sharing all the food on single table.

And we continued our journey to he next destination, very quiet and worth for a visit.

Xin Loong (兴隆), Hainan (海南), China (中国) : Impressed by 兴隆热带植物园 (Xin Loong Tropical Botanical Garden)

Hainan, China - Part 6 - 兴隆热带植物园 (Xin Loong Tropical Botanical Garden), 兴隆 (Xin Loong)

We arrived at the hotel during the night after we had our 3 hours long journey trip from Sanya 三亚 to Xin Loong 兴隆, and of course, we went to a coffee factory (兴隆咖啡园) and had our local dinner (黎家农家宴) as well, once again, a disappointing dinner we had. :/

On the second morning, packed our luggage and we headed to the beautiful garden

All of us will be given stickers and its represent different groups of people who came to the park.

Anyway, I still keep the sticker as remembrance! :)

And now, I'm going to show what we could expect from the park, the Park do impress me quite a bit. *Well done*

So, this botanical garden was built in 1957, with an area of 400,000 square metres with 1,200 tropical plants. This garden is nearly perfect for plants to grow, it is also play a role of an important agricultural base and it is also a famous tourist spot.

Instead of other place, there's Hainanese who go to the Park for photography and even a wedding banquet, how lovely. :) Congratulation to the newly weds.

We went for a tour with buggy, the Park is a hugeeee one! I love the surrounding with all those tall trees here.

- Orchids -

I love how the weather of Xin Loong (兴隆), cold and refreshing. Awesome part while I could wear my sweater and jacket! :)

A type of plants that makes picture prefect. How dreamy it would be?

I can't recall what the indirect meaning when people said "Gam Shou Ji".

Couldn't agree more that sunflower is one of the hardest plant to grow, a lot of effort to take care of it.

And that's the end of what we could expect at the Park. We saw various type of fruits and plants, other than those, vanilla, peppers, coco and et cetera.

There goes our day trip at Xin Loong Tropical Park. :)

Next will be heading to HaiKou (海口), another city of Hainan and it took another 3 hours drive and the temperature dropped approximately 10c, and its 11c by then!

Small portion of breakfast, disappointed dinner the night before and luckily my mom brought her cookie along! Awwww~~ butter cookies. Trolled them when I said I was hungry. (lol)

Hainan, China - Part 5 - 蝴蝶谷 (Butterfly Park) and 亚龙弯 (YaLongWan) 旅游度假村, 三亚 (Sanya)

After visiting 鹿回头景区 (LuHuiTou Scenic Area), we headed to see the beautiful butterfly art.

Couldn't agree more that China people are clever with all kinds of things they could created and searching ways to earn for a living, but once again, their washroom "Sucks, mad sucks." (Yucks!)

The peacock just beautiful and that's one kind of tourist photography style she had! :P

And next, we went to 亚龙弯 (YaLongWan) 旅游度假村!

It do reminds me about the our beautiful beaches in Malaysia, we have so many nature resources and beautiful scenery. In fact, tour to the beaches in Hainan, doesn't impress me. It was so crowded over there.
