An opportunity to have tossing Yee Sang session with international hotel and well known local store this year. Thanks to Hyatt Regency Kinabalu and Pick N Pay Malaysia for having all of us! We had a lot of time catch up with each other.

Yee Sang used to be traditionally served on the 7th day of the lunar New Year but these days, it’s common to have this dish anytime during the 15 days of celebration and before lunar New Year as well! Just check with the local stores and hotels in Kota Kinabalu for availability.

In fact, I think this year would be a year that I had several times of tossing with my family, friends and colleagues! I do love tossing Yee Sang, where the colours that made of various vegetables and snacks just made Yee Sang an auspicious and meaningful part of Chinese New Year!  And of course, the taste of Yee Sang need to be delicious and raw fish need to be fresh too!

Price start from RM 19.90 nett (2 person), RM39.90 nett (4 - 6 person), RM79.90 (7-10 person) while RM138.00 nett (11 - 15 person).

It was my second to have their Yee Sang and first was also this year during my planned Annual Dinner 2016 for my office, the whole office were happy with the night. Most of it were as planned and maybe 10% reserved for unexpected ones.

Each colour and side dishes represent different auspicious meaning, from wealthy, healthy, luck, ambiances and anything that bring the luck to all of us. Therefore, the higher you tossed, the prosper you are! But wait a minute!! We need to said out loud auspicious words.

Good news for Chinese New Year guests, aside from the Chinese New Year buffet (8th February to 9th February, 2016), hotel guests can also come and witness the mesmerizing acrobatics of the Yick Nam Lion Dance Troupe on 9th February starting at 8.00 am. The public is invited for this performance from a former world champion lion dance troupe.

【沙巴美食】 十月咖啡馆 October Coffee House, The Peak Vista

It is not an extraordinary name when they mentioned "October Coffee House".

Finally we have the chance to sit in and had a drink weeks ago, definitely one of the best place to hang out during week days and even weekends. 

Well, just remember to visit them during non peak hours, I was there during peak and you can't imagine that I only could have a cup of coffee during my third visit to October.

Anyeong Haseyo! Korean Snack Cafe at Wisma Merdeka!

I have been craving for Korean Food so badly and everyone keeps posting about the Korean Cuisine they had lately. -____-

And I insist to go eat one next month! I hope Terence will keep his promise. :)

It was months ago since I ate the cuisine by Korean Snack Cafe and FYI, it is not a new restaurant in town.

Few of us went to the restaurant for lunch and it was a treat by my parent's ex-staff, Wein.

Home made by the Korean Lady Boss.

There's always a must to have Kimchi whenever we were having meal at Korean restaurant. Something to troll about when meatball said the one I bought from supermarket smells like garbage. (^_^")

- Curry Chicken -

Extraordinary compared with Malaysian Style Curry. The chicken meat was soft and it was easily cut apart.

- Korean Pancakes -

The old time favourite and been introduced to me by Meatball-online. :) This was made with roundly cutted Big Onions.

- Beef with Vegetables -

Something green for a meal is a must! :)

- The Soup -

Overall, the meal we had was good and satisfied all of us. The restaurant was cozy and wasn't crowded, that's made us feeling more comfortable. I simply enjoy the spiciness of Korean Cuisine and others as well! :)
