Tavern Kitchen & Bar (Tavern). The fusion concept of Tavern caught my attention, combining the Sabahan native ingredients, local Malaysian and Western dishes and even the interior of the restaurant was interesting yet trendy.

- Tavern Kitchen & Bar -

A renowned restaurant and bar located in Imago Shopping Mall and it is also the Top 25 best restaurant in KK on Tripadvisor out of 414 restaurants.

At one corner of the restaurant, it either for stage performance or tables for guests.

- Graffiti -

Art of Sabah landmarks, symbols and beauty.

It was impressive with the interior design that art pieces blended in with Sabah slang and details. Tavern interior design by Ben Firdaus, the host of Season 2 of Casa Impian (interior design TV show).

- Mango Mojito -

 
One of Tavern's best seller. Tasted mango with puree, rum and mint. 

I love their list of beverages, there's unique cocktails and mocktails and same goes to other non-alcoholic drinks. Sumandak On Fire Flaming Cocktail, KK is Burning Flaming Cocktail, Teh Tarik Long Island and the list goes on for all the favourites! 

The best part is Tavern's having Happy Hour too! Which is twice a day, from 3pm - 6pm and 10pm - 12 midnight!

 - Mac and Cheese Burger -

Homemade Charcoal Bun, macaroni and cheese. The macaroni tasted just right and just the way it suppose to be!

- Nasi Goreng Tuhau with Ayam Berempah & Bambagan -

The local fusion dish and I like the taste of the tuhau fried rice. Tuhau is a word of the native which referring to wild ginger. Fragrant fried rice with large portion that rich in flavour.

- Black Spicy Chicken Wingies -

Spicy chicken wings with crispy tuhau. The level of spiciness is acceptable, and if you would like to have even spicier, just inform the service crew.

- Spicy Sabah Seafood Pasta -

No wonder their pasta is in the favourite list, I love the taste of the pasta sauce, spicy and local, el dente pasta is a must.

Tender beef patty with homemade charcoal bun! A choice for burger lovers.

KK : Our Honeymoon Suite at The Pacific Sutera 【沙巴游】 亚庇 ： 我们的酒店蜜夜！

It was a very very short staycation in town and at one of the well known hotel in KK City. If you could remember, we had our wedding banquet at The Pacific Sutera, and that's the hotel complimentary stay for us. Finally we have to time to relax ourselves. :)

两天一夜的酒店密夜的确很短哦~ 但最重要的是我们有稍微休息一些， 抛开工作的去休息休息。

 

- Pacific Lounge at 11th Floor -

It was not that frequent we have the chance to be in Pacific Lounge. So, we went there to have a look before we decide our schedule.

我们到了酒店第十一楼的 Pacific Lounge 走走看看， 也喝了杯果汁。景色好壮观呢！

- The Swan 爱情海 - 

A welcome note at the table and lovely decorated bed and even the washroom. Comfy bed that I would not want to get out of bed after having my sleep!

桌上的酒店感言以及房间布置的好体贴哦！ 床睡的蛮舒服， 好想赖着它！

- The View Outside - 

The outdoor from our suite room, indeed a calm view of Kota Kinabalu. We had a long walk after settle down with our necessaries.

这就是我们房外的景色， 面向大海！蓝蓝天空， 蓝蓝海洋！ 沙巴真的很美呀！

- Pacific Lounge at 11th Floor -

Pacific Lounge is a private lounge for only special guests. No wonder the place was quiet and me and Mr. Hubs went there for drink before we end our day. The view from 11th Floor just magnificent, sad to say that the haze just spoil a little of the sunset view. :(

I was excited when I saw the bath tubs was decorated with petals, and I love flowers!

After a long walk, we had a sit along the beach at Pacific Sutera, sorry to say that their beach is a bit small, just few families and the whole beach will be packed.

KK 【沙巴吃】 : Themed Annual Dinner at Silk Garden, Pacific Sutera 丝绸苑

First of all, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR TO YOU! 恭喜发财各位！ 愿你事事顺利， 万事如意！

We had our office Annual Dinner two weeks before Lunar New Year. Grateful that the program went well, and I guess most of them had a great time with the delicious menu by Silk Garden. Most of all, thanks to Michael who I have been bugging for few times just to make sure everything in order, he does help a lot and try to make sure those I details I have requested can be done.

Brought in Pick N Pay Yee Sang due to the delayed imported Yee Sang by Silk Garden. I try to make sure there's tossing Yee Sang session to ensure the mixture of culture in the themed Annual Dinner this year. Some of them never try Yee Sang before, which is also good for them to know a bit of the Chinese tradition as well. 

- Macarons by Deli Bites -

A snacks before dinner. The ladies sure love it! And I felt happy with the planned details. :)

The fact is I LOVE THIS DISH!!! Prawn was huge and just delicious. 

- The dessert : Glutinous Rice Ball with peanuts -

Those are few of the dishes we had, and all are more than enough for 50+ of us. Glad that most planned programs went well and I felt relief after the whole event ended. I'm well rested.

Chillin with the Sunset at The Breeze Lounge & Grill, Sutera Harbour Resort, K.K.

Two months ago, my relatives from oversea were here for a short trip. And somehow, we went for a short chill out session at The Breeze Lounge and Grill after a long walk along the beach!

Such a relaxing environment to sit in and enjoyed the Sunset view over there, not too crowded, just perfect for a laid back holiday.

Without explain much, here are the photos that I took that weekend. :)

And as a reminder, don't ever sit before you check the seat, my pants were wet when I sit in the middle of that relaxing sofa.

Kota Kinabalu just have magnificent sunset view, especially enjoying it with the one you love most. Awww~ I love K.K.!!

Chilling at Breads & More, Grace Point, KK

Sutera Habour tweeted us (me and meatball-online) to visit their newly operated cafe "Breads &　More" sometime around January this year.

And during one fine Saturday afternoon (Another sweet day for afternoon tea :D), both of us agreed to visit the cafe. :)　

- Beverages price list -

Overall it was Good! I do love the croissant and the cake I had there. Although it is operated by Sutera Harbour, the pricing are reasonable or should I say, cheaper than the usual 5-Star hotel price that we could get. Quite surprise and satisfy with their food while chilling out during the free time.

However, we were quite disappointed with their coffee, does not satisfy our usual taste buds of coffee in comparison with cafes that we usually had in town. :(

Below are the cakes and breads that we can choose at Breads and More. The one that WE COULD GET FROM THE HOTEL AS WELL!!

Cold cream cheese cake (RM5.00) that really cooling and creamy while Salami Croissant (RM11.80) is filling and taste really good! The presentation was attractive as well. 

- The drink we had -

So much disappointment and I think you can see it from the photo above as well. Something not right with the Iced Cappuccino. Meatball was safe from the iced tea. I think their coffee really need to be improved and seek advise or maybe hire a profesional barista to brew or prepare the coffee. (-_-) When both beverage and food are good, the overall customer satisfaction will be so much better.

Breads & More, I definitely recommend to my friends for their breads and cakes. And it become one of my chill out spot once in a while. :)

Evening Tea at Muffinz Deli Cafe, Sutera Habour, K.K., Sabah

Evening Tea before attending the Christmas Lighting by Sutera Habour last month. 

The event haven started when we arrived at Magellan, Sutera Habour, me and Meatball-Online went to Muffinz for a cup of coffee before the event started. Without Meatball leading the way, I think I will be lost at the hotel compound. -_-

- The Christmas Decoration : Cookies House - 

It was located next to the counter for us to take photographs. Those packaged cookies interest me much.

 - Various Cakes for selection - 

Meatball-Online requested Chocolate Moist Cake which was.... extremely sweet for me which doesn't suit my taste bud.

 - Muffinz Deli Cafe -

The interior design of Muffinz looks interesting with colourful wallpaper. Besides, it also offer pool table and other board games for children and adults too.

 - Chocolate Moist and Cappuccino -

 The cake I have mentioned before. Cappuccino taste still okay.

As for the price, for both of that is cost RM26.00+ in total, which is normal to be cost similar for tea at the hotel in town without a hotel membership card.

 - The Counter -

Nice environment to chill once in a while. My first visit wasn't that good, maybe I should try the muffins instead on my next visit (if I have one in the future) ;) They told us the muffins was good.

Cakes and coffee... I loving indulgence.
