MY - Kuala Lumpur : Instagrammable Spot in KL - Kwai Chai Hong 鬼仔巷

Kuala Lumpur, W. Persekutuan (K.L.)

Have wanted to visit here when the first time I saw other sharing it in Facebook pages.

Finally I was there during my recent trip to KL.

It is an empty alley that have been converted in to a mural area for public to take photos and non the less, the back door to an dessert cafe. How nice.

Walk along the shops and guided with Google Map.

The entrance and luckily we were there early as 10.30am, before it was crowded.

Hainam Kopitiam.

Passed by this kopitiam and unfortunately it was close that day, heard that it is one famous kopitiam in KL though.

How creative are you and I think you could do better than me!

Experiencing China Town with Pacific Express Hotel (Kuala Lumpur)

Kuala Lumpur, W. Persekutuan (K.L.)

For us Malaysian, it's hardly for us explore Kuala Lumpur in details. It's just shopping, shopping and working trip at most.

Recently, after my trip to KL for Bridging Guilds International ’s event by Girl Guides Association Malaysia for the guilds (I'm an adult guide), I have the chance to experience the historical faces KL. It's my first to stay very close to Petaling Street, just in the center of KL.

With my mom and aunts, we were staying at one superior room and another with standard room. Surprisingly, my aunt's never been to this side of KL. The prefer to stay at familiar place such as Mid Valley. 😅

Premier Room

Basically, it is a family room for 3 - 4 person.

Superior Room

Spacious and comfortable room size would be one good condition for us.

 Standard Room

Similar to superior, just room size differences.

My room overlooking to Petaling Street's entrance.

Our view from our room at 8th floor.

Welcome Notes

Over looking entrance to China town (Petaling Street)

Half of our day spending our time at nearby tourist spots, afraid not! We took quite a number of photographs, especially at the Kwai  Chai Hong (鬼仔巷).

Piggy pastry

From the old time favourite Fong Wong Pastry, opposite Petaling Street food court.

I'm in love with the building sculptures that we could see the local authority is trying their best to uplift the building and keeping the history alive, to preserve the old KL.

The street behind our hotel. it could lead us to Central Market for art shopping.

The white building ahead is Pacific Express Hotel, Chinatown, formerly it was a mall and currently the highest floor shall be the unit for Fui Chiu Association use.

The Cafe at Pacific Express Hotel

Serving Malaysian breakfast with fried noodles, eggs, fried rice and toasts as well.

We do have the option to book our rooms with breakfast during our stay.

There's always an option to walk down to Petaling Street for some local breakfast along the street!

Central Market

Gorgeous place that we could spent hours. Back then, Central Market is less crowded with less things to see.

Now, there's tourists and local that will be there for dine in and shopping. Non the less, weekly traditional dances show. How lovely is that!

【吉隆玻美食】Food In Kuala Lumpur : Just Two of Us @ Garden to Table Private Dining, Petaling Jaya

And it was a great lunch we had during our trip two weeks ago!

Yinsbear dated me weeks before I'm in KL. :) She work at part timer on a Saturday and frankly speaking, I do love the concept of private dining.

We took the LRT from KLCC to Taman Paramount's station and Yinsbear fetch us from there.

- Nasi Lemak Set and Scones Set -

Inclusive of the coffee. :) Coffee beans specially brought from different places (somehow countries), organic and unique ingredients that make Garden to Table Private Dining extraordinary from others.

- Buttermilk Scones -

I REALLY LOVE THEIR SCONES!

Smells buttery and milky, a bit crunchy on the outside and soft inside. :)

- Interior -

It is a bungalow which we went for the private dining.

Vintage table setting and without even noticed, time just passes quickly. The longer we stay, the more we felt comfortable with the place while chatting with friends and family.

- Of What We Had -

- Beverly and I -

- Nasi Lemak -

- Sourdough Bread -

The three bottles of jam of passion fruit lemon curd, marmalade and mulberries jam were home made by the chef!

Personally, it is not often we could see people serving home made jams. Aw~ I love it!

 - Coffee -

- Spread the Scones -

You know what? I love to "HAVE A CUPPA TEA/COFFEE" session, just the same old meitzeu. (Haha)

I took my sweet time while having the scones and coffee.

- Me and Yinsbear -

Thanks to her for introducing us to try something different than we used to have.
And I went for garden tour and snap some photos too!

- Passion Fruits -

- Herbs and Plants -

- Basil and Herbs -

It was a good dining experience we had on that afternoon. And YYY! I want some more scones!!

Cheers! Till then!

【吉隆玻酒店】 Hotel in Kuala Lumpur : Pacific Regency Hotel Suites

This is a sponsored entry.

Perhaps this would be the first photo overloaded entry after blogging for years. 20 ++ photos n fact.

Photos speaks a million words. I believe that browsing through the photos, you would be in love with this hotel, one of the oldest hotel in KL. :)

- KL Tower and Pacific Regency Hotel Suites -

From the UberX ride we had, we went back to our hotel which located opposite KL Tower. We didn't noticed about it and our kind driver told us that there's a restaurant located at KL Tower as well, and their fine dining was good. Lovely aerial view of part KL from above.

- Pacific Regency Hotel Suites #PHRS (5 Star) -

Bets some of you would love to know how long it takes to walk to KLCC. It took us approximately 15 minutes to walk from PRHS to KLCC, and yes, we WALK from the hotel to KLCC, with the help of my iphone 5s maps.

- Pacific Regency Hotel Suites -

- Our Suites -

We do surprise with the spacious corridor, the spacious room and etc. Perfectly fine to us. :) Even though the hotel is a bit old, however, the hotel management had upgraded/ refurnish from one level to another to make guests feel comfortable while staying with them. :)

- The Pantry -

Complimentary drinks provided and how lovely is the room setting.

- The Bathroom -

A good bath after a long day will be a good thing to do. Both of us, Beverly and I took our sweet time and off we for our dinner and exploration the night at PRHS.

- Cristallo (Level 34) -

Weekdays 12.00pm to 3.00pm. Sunday to Thursday 6.00pm to 1.00am.
Friday, Saturday and Eve of Public Holiday 6.00pm to 3.00am.

Cristallo serving western cuisine.

- Best view of Sunset -

Gorgeous table for two and heard that there are frequent proposal from man to his love one here! How can a girl resist?

- KL and Sunset -

It was definitely dreamy and it was my FIRST sunset view in KL @ 34th Floor. We stood there and it was breathtaking! Heart melted that day.

- Cristallo -

Dining here would be the best thing ever.

- Soi 23 @ Level 23 -

7.00am - 11.00pm daily.

Soi 23 serving modern Thai cuisine.

We had our breakfast and dinner here and it was satisfying, the dessert was delicious too.

- Buffet Breakfast -

Greet by PRHS lovely staffs and we had a good breakfast that morning and before checking out!

- Soi 23 @ Level 23 -

- Cheese and crackers -

Just to let you know, it reminds me a lot of my university duration, cheese and crackers for breakfast back then in UK.

- Set Dinner -

Beverly had set dinner includes appetizer (Vietnamese spring rolls), main dish (as above) and dessert (cheese cake).

While I had Thai style fried pasta seafood, delicious and generous portion served.

- Pavlova with mango sauce -

There's always a space for dessert. I love Pavlova!

Dinner was great and we had a short walk at Luna Chill Out Bar after our meal.

- Swimming Pool and Luna Chill Out Bar @ Level 34 -

Monday - Thursday 11.00am to 1.00am. Friday, Saturday and Eve of Public Holidays 11.00am to 3.00am.

PRHS was the first hotel which have the rooftop swimming pool and bar concept. Luna Bar would be so pack at weekends.

Furthermore, private parties often held at Luna Bar as well. We were lucky to experience a bit of the private party that will be held later that night. Partying beside the pool. It was just WOW!

Staying with PRHS was a great experience and it will be one of the hotel that I would recommend to friends and family. Convenient and safe area for leisure vacation seekers. :)
