Star Cruise (SSG) to Langkawi Island (浮羅交怡)

Part 4 of Star Cruises Trip 2008 with Superstar Gemini (SSG) - Underwater World Langkawi, Black Sand Beach, Kota Mahsuri and "The Eagle", Langkawi Island (浮羅交怡)

We arrived Langkawi after our overnight trip in Phuket and Langkawi was our last destination to visit during our Star Cruise trip back then.

- Langkawi Port -

"Langkawi, the Jewel of Kedah is an archipelago of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea, some 30 km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia."  - Wikipedia

Langkawi is a calm and relaxing with it's very "green" environment. :) It was not my first visit to Langkawi, I remember that I was there when I was still a little girl and we revisit the destinations that we visited before.

- Underwater World Langkawi -

Interesting underwater world that I love the most, birds were walking freely in there and even pass through us. How cute was that? All the creatures in there are alive, there's swans, mandarin ducks, flamingo and others which usual for us to see them.

- Underwater World Langkawi -

- Penguins at Underwater World Langkawi -

- My Royal Penguin Friend -

- Otter -

I could spend quite some time at Underwater World, we could see so many creatures in there!!

And we proceed to the next tourist spot.

- Kota Mahsuri -

"Formerly known as Makam Mahsuri (Mahsuri's Mausoleum), Kota Mahsuri was erected in honour of Mahsuri, a fair maiden who was unjustly accused of adultery more than 200 years ago." - Virtual Malaysia

Amazed that the legend still remain till now, the seventh generation of Mahsuri was found and live among us.

- Black Sand Beach -

Just like the name, there's certainly black sand at their beach. However, the black sand was so much lesser than years ago, maybe tourist or the locals collectively took away the black sand which believe could chase the dark spirit away and end up people who came to visit year by year are unable to enjoy the black sandy beach. :(

- Langkawi Landmark : The Eagle -

The last place to visit on a rainy afternoon and off we were back to the port and leaving back to Port Klang.

Good bye Langkawi.

Thailand Guide : Phuket (V.1) - Phuket FantaSea (with SSG)

Part 4 of Star Cruise Trip 2008 - Phuket, Thailand.

After SSG brought us to Krabi Island and had a short fun chicky dance with the cruise's crew, we reached Phuket in the evening and without wasting our time, we hop in to the tour bus which will be bringing us to Phuket FantaSea, The Ultimate Cultural Theme Park (approximately 1 hour duration) to enjoy the fantasy animal kingdom show.

Be reminded that Thailand time is one hour ahead of Malaysia time. By the time when we reached Phuket FantaSea, we were extremely exhausted and all because we had a lot of activities for the whole day. A few of mom's friends recommended that Phuket FantaSea is a must visit place for their animal shows which more than 10 elephants will be entertaining all audience together with mystery story about the past. :)

- Phuket FantaSea -

I can't remember how much do the ticket cost but from what I have been told, it was quite expensive, say approximately RM200.00 after conversion from USD back then. However, after I had enjoyed the show, the price that we paid was a bliss! Worth to watch for all. :)

- Carnival Village -

- Gems Outlet -

While waiting for the show to start, we went for a walk at the theme park, the place was crowded and various activities that they can offer to entertain guests. From shemale dancing, souvenirs shops, riding on elephants et cetera.

- The Hall -

Where the show going to be held. The cruise attendant told us that the hall was covered by the Tsunami incident before, but nothing were ruin. It was quite mysterious without any scientific explanation. Amazing! Just like expected, Thailand really a mysterious place to visit and understood.

- Can you spot the elephant? *Hint : On the left. -

- The Main Entrance -

I wish I could show some photos of the musical show that we enjoyed. Our hand phones and cameras were detained for few hours while the show was presenting. Well managed party and a whole row of counters for guests to collect our own hand phones when the show ended.

The on going performance was FANTASTIC!! Well prepared performance that animals from huge elephants, baby elephants, ducks, chickens, birds flying/ walking/ or even running from one end to another all together! Very cute and I love it. Non the less, when we lifted up our head, there were performers dancing above us. (^_^)

Despite our exhaustion, I was trying to open my eye widely to enjoy the show but it was so hard to do so. I slept in the middle of the show (for a short while) and as for my mom, slept longer than me! haha :D

- Phuket FantaSea -

A short video that I found from Youtube. So now you have the concept of what FantaSea can perform!

- Chalong Temple -

We had a good sleep after the show and we woke up around 10.00am where other guests left the ship for day tour in Phuket. We were quite shock on our sleeping time and luckily, there were a few of local van driver that we could hire for our day trip in Phuket. :)

- Phuket City -

A little bit of history walk, temples, shopping malls and some visiting places.

And that how I end my Phuket day tour. :)

- Souvenirs -

Those were part of Meatball-online and my souvenirs we bought. :)

Location :
Phuket FantaSea
99 Moo 3, Kamala Beach, Kathu, Kamala, Phuket 83150, Thailand.

and Phuket shopping area.

Thailand : Krabi Island (V.1) with SSG 【泰国游】卡碧岛 - 丽星邮轮 (双子座)

Part 3 of Star Cruises Trip 2008 with Superstar Gemini (SSG) - Krabi Island, Thailand.

The ship departed 30 minutes away from the beach. After our passports have been checked by the local authority, groups by groups, we took the local boat for a ride to the beach and there we started our Krabi Island walk.

- The Beach of Krabi Island -

After 30 minutes from the ship, we reach Aonang Beach/ Krabi Ao Nang. At the first sight, I felt in love with the beach, definitely one of the most beautiful island in Thailand and as proven by many. Blue sky, mountains and sandy beach, it was breathtaking scene over there.

Without hiring any transport, we walked along the beach and at the same time take a few photographs for remembrance as usual.

- The Walkway -

While having our sight seeing, we noticed that there's all sorts of little shops almost every where in Krabi and same as Phuket that we visited later on. We did bought some goodies at very cheap price after bargained with the sellers. *REMEMBER TO BARGAIN IN THAILAND!!*

- The Walkway -

Not a crowded area for tourists to have a walk. However, it is another eye opener if we visited the beach with all those beach bummers. People are open minded and openly bra-less for most. (Hey ~~ Sexy Lady! Op Op Op ~~~)

- Local Crafts -

A symbol of luck for elephant sculpture.

- Breezy Transportation -

- Toyota Altis as taxi service -

Despite of the Malaysian tax, which we are far different from them.

- Massage Pricing -

They told us that the original Thai massage at Thailand are very cheap after they saw the price list I took.

- Tom Yum Gong -

A must try Thai delicacy. Although it doesn't look spicy, but don't being fooled by the presentation and colour. It was unbelievable when we scooped the ingredients inside. My gosh* See those green chillies? My dad took Tom Yum Gong and we just took a few sip from there.

- Our boat -

Meatball-Online was freak out again and again (She's phobia with boat rides after the incidents few years ago) We took a short walk and returned to the ship for finger food and waited for the next visiting place, Phuket at night.

While we were waiting for the time to pass, there's happening programs for guests to join and have fun. And I did some moves as well! :)

- Lovely dancing couple -

Who does look like JUDE LAW!

- Macarena Dance -

Those were the time when we were young! Friendly crews and guests together we did the move! And the one with straw cap (the first lady), it's me!!

Next destination - Phuket at Night.

Star Cruises : PENANG - Temples & Coffees

Part 2 of Star Cruises Trip 2008 with Superstar Gemini (SSG).

The moment I opened my eyes in the morning, I saw the scene of Penang buildings/ town from far, especially after mom gave us wake up call! We quickly prepared ourselves and waiting for the Ship to depart.

- Penang Bridge -

The Ship departed with a distance from Penang Pier, we waited for a while for the famous ferry of Penang (that everyone must try) to get closer to the ship and one by one of us got our seat on it and went to the pier and continue with the exploration in Penang.

- Penang City -

Getting closet to the pier and upon arrival, there were photo shoot for every guest of SSG and it was actually for sale before the end of the whole trip. ;) Further more, we catered a van for 5 of us to explore Penang. :)

Here's the destination that we visited in Penang :-

- The temple of the Largest Sleeping God of Penang -

It was the first temple/ destination that the Driver brought us to. If I'm not mistaken, it was actually not the first time i went to Penang and it reminded me with the blurry childhood memory that I could remember bits by bits.

- The Sleeping God and the Largest one -

Bear in mind that we should not wear any caps/ hats when entering the temple. It is to show the RESPECT towards the God.

Next, we proceeded ourselves to another place. ;)

- Wat Chaiyamangalaran (Thai Buddhist Temple) -

- Burmese Buddhist Temple -

Complete with morning temples visiting. :)

- Penang Coffee -

Beside visiting temples, the Driver did brought us purchase some local coffee too.

- Penang Coffees -

Various coffees for sale and they tasted GOOD! Each of us bought a few packages back home and distributed among family and friends.

- Kek Lok Si (极乐寺) -

Located at the highest hill at Penang. A very beautiful one.

- Koi Fishes -

Various colours for us to admire.

- The Beautiful City Scene of Penang -

- Snake Temple -

I did some stunt in there. :P From what I have understood, the amount of snakes have been reduced drastically compared with years before. And those snakes in there, eat eggs as their daily meals and NOT MEAT = IT'S VEGETARIANS!

- Photo shooting with Snakes -

I was surprised when I actually holding phython on my hand and two smaller one on my head as head gear. (lol) My mom was looking at me and she just went off without staying any longer. :P And said.... "My Gosh, you are so daring!" And after that, she don't wanna walk near to me. -_-

After visited a few places in Penang, we went to the famous local mall for a walk too. :)

That's all for Penang trip and it's a very short post (I know) for the day.

The next place/ country - THAILAND!

Good day and happy working! :)

Experiencing Cruises - Departing with Star Cruise Gemini

Something unexpected happens to be at my house today :), some bloggers were at my house for a nice Hainanese Teh C session! :D So yea...Okay~ Now ->

Part 1 of Star Cruises Trip with Superstar Gemini (SSG).

:) I have mentioned before that I will re-write all those lousy travel entries which I have written before and now, this is one of the trip that I suppose to rewrite. :P

The first trip with Star Cruises - Superstar Gemini (SSG) for 5 Days 4 Nights back in Year 2008, it was also my first visit to other country (ie. Thailand) too. :) Thus, it was the amazing vacation with treatment like princess (VIP) inside SSG. *Awesomeness* And FYI, I would love to take up a cruise vacation again someday! :)

- One of the Star of Star Cruises (Superstar Gemini) -

Which we went through that 5 days with. Great food and great hospitality.

- The Sticker of SSG -

It was for them to recognise their guests.

- Part of Port Klang (巴生港口)-

- Superstar Gemini -

The cruise ship which we will be on our above sea vacation all the way from Port Klang - Penang - Krabi - Phuket - Krabi - Langkawi and all the way back to Port Klang.

- Our room -

The view outside was so nice whereby I could see the next destination along the sea and that's when we were almost reaching that place ofcourse. ;)

- It was time for buffet dinner -

Various food prepared for guests - sushi, grilled lamb shoulder, desserts and others, the blue cheese was nice with a little portion served with crackers.

- Part of Port Klang -

Leaving the jetty and towards the open sea, we saw various factories along Port Klang.

- Part of Port Klang -

After we had our dinner and shower, we went to the entertainment hall for show and short briefing by the crew for our plan on the next day/ next destination. What was good by attending the briefing was, the crew provided us useful information regarding the cab charges (ie approximate charges to get a cab for free and easy tour) and a few local tours (in group and packages offered by the cruise) that guests would like to took up upon arrival at the next destination and et cetera.

A good night sleep after that whole day and the next day......

- I saw the city when I woke up!! -

I was excited to see we were getting closer to our next destination... Had my early bath and waa laa!

PENANG - the next destination to be ;)
