Me and "You Never Walk Alone" with Anfield - Liverpool Football Club!

A tour to Liverpool Football Club (LFC) while I was furthering my studies in UK (2008).

Once again, another trip by LJMU's Student Union that cost us 11 pound inclusive of ticket price and transportation fees and this time we had the opportunity to visit the famous LFC that Gerrad played for.

- Bill Shankly statue located outside LFC museum and Club Store -

I still remember that, it was quite a waste when I did not have the time to tour around when I was actually arrived at Old Trafford, Manchester United, Manchester, UK. However, LFC is located approximately 15 minutes away from LJMU, why don't I just buy the ticket and visit. :) In fact, I had set my foot in Liverpool and what am I waiting for! (Sound adventurous)

- The Overview of Anfield Stadium -

Our coach leaved at 1.30pm from University and the tour started at 2.30pm.

- Trash Bin sponsored by Carlsberg -

- The Field -

We entered from players' entrance and toured in the Stadium, I was amazed with the green grass that they have well mowed grass. For your information, there's rules for us as visitors to be followed - WE ARE NOT ALLOW TO TOUCH, TO STEP ON THE GRASS! If we did it and been caught, the whole tour will be suspended and stop immediately.

 - Welcome to Anfield and it's 3.15pm -

Our tour leader explained the background of Anfield Stadium to us in such a way that so much interesting while tourists like us were sitting at the players seats and opponents seats. *Excited*

- The way they care the field -

 - The old public seats without pillow -

The above are the old seats without pillow. Imagine if we are sitting there to watch football match, I think my butt will be so much flatter than now!

- The new seats with pillow -

Comfortable seats that were uplifted with pillow during later years.

Furthermore, seats for medias, broadcasts and other important parties have been well divided among public seats to get the best photographs and broadcasting purpose.

- Players changing room -

I smell sweat of players. (lol) Those are genuine players jerseys and we were so much excited to take photos with players we knew. :) After touring in their changing room, the washroom (-__-) and etc, we went to LFC Museum and Club Store!

- Liverpool FC Trophy Room -

I saw nothing but trophies and the above were only a little portion of them. Glad that they have such a recognition internationally in football world.

- Interesting animated drawing -

- Trophy for First Division Championship -

The trophy caught my attention and it was beautiful and from what I have snapped, I think the trophy was the same one as shown below which I have snapped there.

- The Winner of First Division Championship -

Besides visiting to LFC Museum, we went to the souvenirs shops too! I bought key chains and other small items as remembrances and I think some of our friends bought jerseys too!

Fruitful visiting that we had back then. Once in a while, I do miss Liverpool. ;')

That's all for today and good day readers.

Rock Climbing at Sabah Indoor Climbing Centre (SICC), Likas Youth Park, K. K., Sabah.

It was my first attempt to rock climbing on last Thursday.

Beverly from Take Another Step (click) dated me to do so the week before. And it's quite a new activity for me as I would love to try at least once in my life for rock climbing since months ago.

Why not I have a try since it is located in town together with someone who interested on it?

- That's Beverly -

She love Rock Climbing and she did it many times. Besides, she's an instructor and her Card from SICC is different then mine. ;)

- That's me! -

Doing my second climb of the day with a little bit harder than my first. Imagine when the wall is "bumpy" and seem like a cave was there, totally using some strength to carry myself to reach higher. My gosh!

- "Walking" down to the ground -

Reached the highest and it's time to go down and to re-charge energy before the next climb... AGAIN!

Trying few times more before attempting to harder rock climbing is essential. Making myself have the guts to climb, climb and climb and don't look down, Hahaha :D just kidding, somehow we need to look down. So, be careful for those who scare of heights.

- Advanced Rock Climbing -

From what have I heard and understood, the chocolate coloured is only for those who have genuine license for rock climbing and not suitable for newbies like me.

And I observed that those walls are built from the easy ones till the advances one. Then... maybe the next time I should attempt more harder ones. Oh my~

Rock climbing is quite challenging and if possible, just free styled climbing all the way up and step any stones you can reach.
Some people will seek for the same coloured stones and it is more challenging.

Beverly taught me the correct way to tie the rope, the correct way to wear those important gadgets and the shoe was totally tight but it's normal, just take off the shoe after the climb.

- The third attempt -

It was difficult for me to climb the wall that built with cave alike design above. I almost surrender and give up in the middle of the climb and Beverly taught me which stone to step and to reach further and finally...

Yea~~~ I reach the top!!!

Took some photographs and shared in my social network and found out that girls like to questions me about the rock climbing. "How was it?", "How much?", "Wah!! You dare to climb?" etc etc.. I also pening (dizzy) questioned by them. hahaha :D

Oh well~ I did get bumped on my knee and my forehead and got myself some small little scars might not hurt that much. Just, need to be careful more and wear longer pants if possible.

Glad you girls are interested, would ask you girls to join me if I go for rock climbing next time.

- The whole SICC view from far! -

- My registration card -

SICC is located at Likas Youth Park and just drive yourself till the end of the car park where the car wash is and we can see another junction to go in.

Rock climbing is a good stretching sports to stretch my whole body! Nice!

The 10th 7K Sunset Charity Run

For the first time I've joined the 7K Sunset Charity Run on Saturday (12.07.2010).

We had a lot of fun and nice meeting the local peoples, friends, family and relatives and even the tourists whose having holidays here.

Heard that this time was the BIGGEST Charity Run in the history of the event!!

My mom, sisters and my mom's friends was joining the event together.

The Top 10 Miss Borneo Tourism (my sister on the right) was joining us for the run too!! =D

But she ran with her friends.

My elder sister's Adidas Kampung (Village) a.k.a. Rubber Shoe which cost only RM7.00, suitable for canopy walk and mountain climbing. She told me that it was comfortable, and won't hurt her feet. And I was like "....." (Speechless)

We walked to the starting point/ finishing point. Many people from different level of career joined for that event!

We are not required to run for the whole 7KM journey, the main purpose for the event is for the charity and not for winning purposes.

Lucky draws are included for those who made it within the time limits and run for the 7KM distance.

Briefing briefing.

Warming up with all sorts of moves. Kungfu, Elvis's styles etc.

When the clock strikes 5.17pm (1717 hours), we started our run with the Shakira's song and the World cup song!! It was excited and I love those songs. Students was singing out loud on the starting point!

We run half way of the distance set, where we run to the first checkpoint (almost the end and we could see the sea view from Sutera Harbour) and run forward to the finishing/ starting point again.

The food we bought from the food stalls at the Tennis Court. I love wedges and this reminds me the time during my studies in oversea, where I had wedges almost every week.

Yea~~ The food stalls at the Tennis Court. Internal Chefs from Sutera Harbour and external stalls been invited to sell food, drinks (Malaysian bites) and etc.

Saw the crowd?? All those in white T-shirts you saw are the crowds who participate in the charity run!

It was really one of the largest run I had experience!

I hope I could make it for the next year and the coming years ahead. And the most important thing is I NEED TO BUY A GOOD SPORT SHOES!!!

Pilates

Heard lecturer saying that it will be more cold next week...OMG!!!So, we need to wear like Eskimo???Just kidding. Tomorrow is a rainy day...Cold day again...sigh~~ At last my UK's simcard can use already.Yeah!!

Pilates was a type of exercise which I think is similar like Yoga in certain ways.
Below was my first Pilates DVD's which my mom gave to me when I saw it at her shop. I do some workouts back at home & found it useful. At first I though it was easy but actually not. It use more of your leg & hand muscle to work with it.

"Hit the Spot Pilates" by Denise Austin who was an instructor since years ago. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels. It can tone your body so that it will be in shape. My muscle hurts after my first time workout with it maybe too long didn't workout. However, it kind of fun & feel real good after few times exercising with it. But currently, didn't use it frequently at here.

Will find some time to work out with it when I'm free.

Pic: E-Siong Restaurant at my hometown -Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Good food provided. Hot spot for noodles lovers.
Assignment now-a-days & examination next Monday for the first subject since last week for me.
