【沙巴美食】 亚庇 Food in Kota Kinabalu - Kudos Bistro (Modern European Dining), Gaya Street

So we had a wonderful dinner at Kudos. :)

Can I say they have one of the best steak in town? Moreover, sitting in at one of the oldest historical building of Kota Kinabalu.

And also, the combination of bitter, sweet taste of the chocolate lava dessert was PERFECT as well!

 - Starter -

 Chicken and Avocado Salad.

- Starter -

Fresh Ravioli with a Tomato and Cream Sauce topped with Lumpfish.

 - Main Dish -

Ocean-Farmed Salmon. Crunchy bacon, creamy mashed pumpkins. The salmon was delicious!

- Beef Steak -

Tender meat, creamy mashed potato, fresh vegetables. It was such a love. :)

- Dessert -

Chocolate lava! Bitter chocolate with combination of vanilla ice cream. It was PERFECT!

- Desserts -

They said there's always a space for desserts, definitely YES when I see their Tiramisu (with alcohol), Chocolate Lava and Passion Fruit Maringue kind of dessert, my eye blinked, when it melted inside my mouth, all of them just heavenly.

- Kudos Bistro -

Thanks Bae for bringing me out for a nice dinner!

Glad to be there and KUDOS will be one of the best place for steak and I just love to introduce the restaurant to my friends and family!

Majestic Mt. WuYi there we are to conquer you!!

- Travel with style! -

Coat and Boots from Hong Kong, Vintage Bag from my mom, pant from KK and hat from UK.

We were waiting for the "train" to arrive and off we go to the starting point of the tour!

- One Part of the River -

The tourist guide told us that the river were once used as THE SCENE FOR "JOURNEY TO THE WEST"! The famous movie by Stephen Chow! 西游记 - 周星驰

That crystal clear really give us a WOW!

- Heavenly Tour Scenic Area -

We are getting started, we can't get away from having a lots of walk. But, I LOVE IT VERY MUCH! That beautiful scenery, that person over there just open my eye towards life. :)

- That "Breast" -

Spotted during our toilet visit, perfect spot for the breast look alike peak. It is also one of the landmark at Mt. Wu Yi.

- Water Rafting -

I had water rafting on the second day during our trip, I love how the picture look like, very calm and perfectly taken. :)

- Turtle Peak -

Can you imagine the peak behind me as a TURTLE? The head on the right and it's back on the left.

- Keep Calm and SMILE -

I love this walkway with those trees along. It's lovely and beautiful, keeping us discharge from those negative energy we had. I just can't wait to visit these places of China again!

- Introduction Booth -

- Fear not of Tired -

A small fee charged if we would like the local to carry us around the scenic area. Gosh! THEY ARE STRONG!

- Hiking -

Definitely high, my leg starting to shake when we look down.

I told myself that I must do it! Although I'm done half way with partially the best scene of Mt. Wu Yi. haha :D

Everyone walking, there's so many locals who having their local tour as well.

Had a good look on Heavenly Tour, those peaks behind are peaks introduced during our tour.

I didn't walk further, just stop here and back to the ground to meet up with my parents. :)

To walk further up, those would be people behind me!! During my friend's recent visit to Mt. WuYi, he was able to walk further, I do salute him after I saw his photo! OMG!

- Back to Ground -

Sure I had a lot of photo shots! I love how the Chinese could craft the words to the wall. It does amaze me each time I saw them. :)

Somehow I do learn something from those crafted words.

CLOSED - Spotted Nasi Katok Brunei #NKB @ Damai, #KKCity

On usual weekend, I will be having the Economic Noodles by Fook Yuan or the Meat Bun by Cha Kee Tiam, or maybe the fish noodle by Houng Kee.

Just out of some random days, we had our breakfast at JW's Corner and spotted one new stall for breakfast!

It was my first to try out Nasi Katok Brunei. *Yum*

 

- Mixed selection -

There's three options to choose - Butter Chicken, Pandan Chicken and Fried Chicken!

Pandan Chicken was nice! Soft textured meat with Pandan smell. :)

- The Meat -

Mr. Yusri is a nice person and I also had a short conversation with him sometime last week after he found out I was the one shared the photo of #NKB via instagram @meitzeu!

Just wanted to say it was nice breakfast with bae too. :)

It's all about HOMEMADE! By The Organic Beancurd Shop (豆花小铺) @ Damai, #KKEats

So, The Organic Beancurd Shop might be a little bit too long to remember.

In fact, they got a hastag to remember - #TOBSKK!

- Cold Beancurd aka Taufa -

It's Taufa, not Tau Fu Fa, it's more health conscious and safe to be consumed.

#TOBS started their business few months ago and people love how the texture tasted like, just like others, I love the smooth texture which melt on the minute it's inside my mouth.

Mr. Tan had so much passion experimenting the best taste to suit customers taste buds.

Spot them at Damai or maybe the dessert at some of the local coffee shops in K.K.!

:) Refreshing Tau Fa on a hot day? Their beancurd would be one of the best choice.

Mt. WuYi (武夷山), China (中国) : Our Stay at Yeo Hwa Resort (武夷山悦华酒店)!

China Part 2 - Mt. WuYi (武夷山), Northern FuJian (福建)

Prepared ourselves for breakfast before we were going for a morning "walk" at the sightseeing area of Mt. WuYi.

Waking up ourselves at that cold weather  really pampered us so much. I love the weather and love the boots that I could wear!! I'm in love with boots and that outfits that I could wear while traveling at cold places. :) It's like the only time I can be fashionable while wearing thick clothes!

- Wu Yi Mountain -

It was incredible feelings that I can see the majestic mountain with such a close view. The clouds surrounded the mountain was like "heaven", fairy tales.

Okay, back to the main points of this entry! I wanted to share my review on our stay at Yeo Hwa Resort, the Five Star Hotel we were staying during our trip! It was one of the best hotel I have stayed during this trip!

   

- Breakfast - 

The venue was perfect! Clean and neat. My dad certainly enjoy his meal, (Haha)

The buffet breakfast was amazing with international theme and a combination of their local delicacies as well. Well trained chef there. :) Just to remind you, COFFEE was BAD. -_- A lot to improve it.

 

 - Part of What I Had -

Sweet potatoes is a must! So sweet and healthy!

- ALL YOU CAN EAT -

- The Garden -

It's outside of the buffet area, it would be so cold if we happens to sit outside for breakfast!

 

- Temperature - 

A corner to inform us about the temperature of WuYi Mountain. Must get prepared with jacket or glove to keep ourselves warm. :)

 - Cafe -

Guests who are hungry at night, can go to this cafe located at Yeo Hwa Resort Lobby for a slice of cake and hot beverage. The cakes looks delicious!

Did you spot Haagen Daz ICE CREAM!!??

- Indoor Garden -

We saw something fishy outside when we passes by the night before, lights were switch off and gosh, the place was so beautiful and calm when we saw it during the day!

We did have a seat and rest and even take a snap of two at the resort indoor garden! How lovely it was!

- Indoor Garden -

There's a bird in the bird cage behind me! Chinese have a hobby of keeping birds during the olden days and they still keeping them now. 

 - Yeo Hwa Resort (武夷山悦华酒店) -

Remember I story about the night walk during the midnight we arrived the resort? 

Luckily I took a snap of the resort main entrance/ building. They told us that we were staying at the best resort of WuYi Mountain area.

I love the soft bed of our room. :)

The best experience are meant to be shared and luckily a compilation of last minute decision of writing this entry was successful!

KK : Breadboss Bakery Cafe, Dah Yeh 【沙巴食】 亚庇 - 面包老大

Is another chillin' out evening for us and its been weeks since the last. 

The Breadboss Bakery Cafe located nearby our house and I wanted to try out for quite sometimes and it's just packed with people of different ages. Kopi O time for the elderies as well, don't play play.

- Our Coffee Talk -

Pretty coffee art and the taste just nice. :) Coffee were priced reasonable and the environment was just lovely for hang outs.

 Bae had Ice Mint Coffee, while I had Cappuccino.

- Breadboss Bakery Cafe -

Different groups of people enjoyed their drinks at the cafe after workouts and even have a short meet up at the spot.

The cafe claimed that the coffee beans they used are freshly roasted and maintained for not more than 15 days to conserve its freshness.

- Something Special -

- Bites -

Impossible that there's no cakes in a cafe. We choose our slice of cake from the fridge. :) Just to let you know that, the bread they are selling is baked by the baker there.

There's place for improvement on the cake, slightly lack of taste in it.

Simple presentation, it's just lovely.

This is just us. :)

Lovely spot for coffee talk and non the least they serve non caffeine as well. No worry. ;)

The good news for some of you, they are now serving at night as well!
