【马六甲游】 Day Walking at Jonker Street

As I mentioned before, I went to Malacca on a Sunday morning and Malacca was crowded during the weekend for the whole day, from morning until night! :)

Oh yea~ Entering Jonker Street which located behind our hotel (click) after we left our belongings at the hotel!

And I was excited about the must visit spot of Malacca!! I love to learn more about culture!!!

- Jonker Street -

"A definite haven for antique collectors and bargain hunters. Authentic artifacts of relic, some dating as far back as 300 years, can be found among host of interesting collectibles, each with its own history, and mystery. Jalan Hang Jebat, formerly known as Jonker Street, is known worldwide among famous antique collectors as one of the best places to hunt and bargain for antiques." - by Puri Hotel.

- Collectible items -

Varieties of collectibles from watches, plates, coins, electrical items and more are offered at Jonker Street.

As for my opinion, I love Malacca despite on their food and things to see and learn. However, the Sun was driving me crazy during my trip over there, and I was darker by one tone on my arms and shoulder -_-  until.... NOW!

- Black Disk -

Mom was searching for some collectible items and she bought the black disk! And the disk is usable though. Collectible items somehow will make us remember about the past, when we were still young and free. *Dreamy Lane* Even Teresa Teng Old Disk can be found too!

- Traditional Attires -

Pretty Kebaya and Cheong Sam attires were sold all over Malacca. However, the pricing is also depends on the quality and shops you were searching at. Sadly speaking, I didn't own a set of my own, maybe in the future I will buy/ tailor made a set of Kebaya. :)

- Shoes for Bound Feet  -

Read here to know more about Foot Binding. In Chinese, it is also called “三寸金莲”. Which in the olden days, ladies with smaller feet size were more preferable.

- Wedding Baskets -

Once, they used those baskets are a symbol of marriage. :) Very interesting facts and my mom collected so much of similar kind of baskets of different Chinese tribes. If one day, we saw baskets sending over from potential groom to be to brides to be, its normal and I like that! :)

- Hokkien Association -

Maintaining the heritage is the priority and indeed they maintained the originality of Chinese culture and non the least the Baba Nyonya Culture too.

- Famous Chicken Rice Ball Restaurant -

Unfortunately, I went to the wrong restaurant to have my chicken rice ball, which wasn't a good one, even though the restaurant was crowded with tourists. :( Some survey and review from friends shall be the wise thing to do before going on a trip.

- Traditional transportation -

- Candy anyone? -

Addictive one to have! With a little mint flavour.

- Taman Warisan Dunia Jonker Walk (鸡场街世遗公园) -

A few walk from Jonker 88 (click) and we reached the park which I was wondering what was it. Went in there to have a look, in fact, it is rest rooms for public and some seats to have a rest after their tiring walk. :)

- Taman Warisan Dunia Jonker Walk (鸡场街世遗公园) -

- Big Bikes in the town! -

- Beca to ease tourists by substituting tiring walk with a ride around Jonker Street -

- Jonker Walk -

- Jonker Walk -

Introduction about Jonker Walk to those who visited there. :) Btw, the other side of it, is another language version of introduction about Jonker Walk (which I have forgotten to snap it).

Wanna see something that we might not know about Jonker Street?

Scroll down!

- This is Monday morning at Jonker Street -

It is a quite and bored town during the weekday, especially on a Monday (The day I went back KL), Malacca is so much different compared with the weekend. Nothing much interesting, unless we walk from one shop to another to see what they have.

Aww~ That's the usual weekeday and that's all for my day walk at Jonker Street, next -- Jonker Street during the NIGHT!! YAY! I love the NIGHT! :)

Btw, how was your weekend going on?

Are you excited to read about my Hennessy Artistry party happening on last Saturday 24th September, 2011?

:D Finally completed my post with all the photographs from friends and bloggers. :)

ALL I WANTED TO SAY IS -

For the first time, I had a great night partying with all the invited guests, especially with all the bloggers.

- Hennessy V.S.O.P. -

I really enjoyed myself with all the music by DJ Roxy June and Reshmonu!

THEY WERE AWESOMEEEE!

FYI, luckily I didn't get drunk that night, but some of them I knew were so DRUNK and I called then "the Drunken Angels"! :P

T (my bf)'s friend ordered two bottles of Hennessy V.S.O.P. for RM500.00 (on promotion)! OMG! Guess, they were really flowed in with H.A party!

Btw, I still prefer the usual V.S.O.P. with Coke! :P Maybe Ginger too!

When the night getting late, the atmosphere in White Room was getting really HIGH!

- DJ Reeve - *Photo credit to Tom.*

Aww~~ That's sad. :( I didn't managed to enjoy the performance by DJ Reeve and I read reviews that HE WAS AWESOME!!! wtf! I went back home early because of a friend of mine (You know who you are :/) was drunk and vomiting that I need to send her home. -__-

Sigh~ Then I shall wait for his performance some day in future. ;)

H.A party a must go event to experience and no worry about the crowd, I saw most of them are familiar faces in KK, so the crowd is fine especially with only invited guests (However, girls need to be careful eitherway).

So yea~ I do have fun that night (although I went home early) and the party ended around 2.00am. :)

Here are some entries by other Bloggers and photographs taken on that awesome night which I've partied with them!! Read them to know what they've said about HA party in KK!

【沙巴游】 亚庇 : 菲律宾市场 Fun in Sabah : Kota Kinabalu - Sunday Walk at Filipino Market

After we had a nice relaxing walk at Gaya Street Sunday Market (click here!), few of us (including our tourists friends) walked together towards the direction of our next destination -

The Filipino Market of K.K.

Which located opposite of Le Meridien Hotel.

Updates Updates & I need some HELP from READERS!!

HEY!! Once again, I have updated my blog banner to a banner that suits my blog more. And FYI, it comprised

FOODs, TRAVELs AND EVENTs!! :)

- The Banner as seen above! -

Nice or not?

I know it was just ordinary cut and paste and mix and match, however, all the photographs were photos which I took over the years since I've furthered my studies in UK back in 2008 (during the time which I've started blogging with BLOGSPOT)!  :)

Okay~ Back to the "I need HELP", actually I need some VOTES,

a friend of mine/ a blogger/ a reader asked me why don't I create a Facebook Page for "withinmeitzeu". For me, I'm quite in doubt and wondering with the number of my readers (silent readers etc) who read my blog and what if, once I've created that Facebook page and turn out to have sucks number of "likes"? Hmmm~~ :/ Which indirectly means that I'm not confidence with my blog, even though I love it like a friend of mine. :P

(In fact, how many number of daily readers/ Page views will be counted as many? I wonder. )

Anyhow,

if you agree with the friend of mine to create a Facebook Page of my blog, do click "LIKE" on the Facebook button below or drop a comment or two to show your SUPPORT!

And it is easy as A, B, C!

For new readers, take a look at http://withinmeitzeu.blogspot.com (click) with other interesting entries before saying "Oh! I hate this blog."

Glurp* I am ready to accept the reality of Blogging. :)

Cheers!

BTW, Candy Love Closet (click) is updated with many nice outfits! Take a look!
