Pork Hamburger Found Here at Comi Comi Hamburger Sandwich, Bundusan

Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
Serving Non Halal

(Pork Burger), finger food, all day breakfast and even serving Instant Korean Noodle with Luncheon Meat are available here.

Never knew that Comi Comi serving varieties of express dish and we only knew it when we visited there this afternoon for a tea session.

Well, we had Luncheon Meat with Egg White Burger 午餐肉馒头 and Scallion Cake with Ham 葱油饼. The Scallion Cake seems like "Roti Canai" for me!

Anyway, it was a nice place to chill for a cup of coffee and light meal with budget pricing. I like it!

KK Eats : That Inanam Capital's Wo Yen Kee Kopitiam 和源记 for Nasi Lemak Crispy Roasted Pork

KK Eats : Inanam Capital
Food : Non Halal.
Price : Individual selection from RM7.50 to RM12.00.

With recent long holiday, my parents brought me for breakfast at Inanam Capital with my aunt who would love to try out new dishes, especially famous one.

A Chinese will always seek for good roasted pork, duck and somehow chicken as well.

It was early as 9.30am and my dad had the Nasi Lemak, but instead of Crispy Roasted Pork (which all recommended this!), my dad had roasted duck and Char Siew (BBQ Pork).

We went there not at the right time where the last portion of roasted pork was taken! We saw the last was given to the table next to us. How sad was it. (-_-)

I heard and read about the good comments of Wo Yen Kee Kopitiam, hopefully my next visit would be lucky to try it!

What I had? I had KonLao Noodle with Roasted Duck. I was full from my breakfast earlier at home, the soy stirred noodle was fine and for sure they have quality roasted duck too.

Inanam Capital, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.

Sabah Must Eat @ Yu Kee Ba Kut Teh

Kota Kinabalu Eats : Gaya Street

The travelers always recommend that Yu Kee Bak Kut Teh is one of the must eat spot when friends and family came to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Located at one of the exclusive place in KK City while convenient for tourist to have an experience of our lovely city of nature resort.

What is Bak Kut Teh? BKT in short, which having pork and organs simmered for hours in soup of herbs and spices (such as star anise, cinnamon, cloves, dang gui and garlic).

Is a type of Chinese food that the labour from the olden days at the port to energise their energy and maintain their health to work harder. The explanation that I mentioned here is stated by one of the BKT restaurant at Port Klang when I was there months ago. ;)

Even my uncle and auntie from Canada always came here for this local taste of BKT. They felt that returning to KK will not be complete without Yu Kee Bak Kut Teh.

For me, I am the local here, and yes, once in a while i will be here for bowls of varieties and recommend to my friends from other places too. Remember be there early to taste the authentic taste of savoury Yu Kee Bak Kut Teh!

Location :
It's opposite The Jesselton Hotel.

KK Food : Sabah Chilli Pan Mee 沙巴辣椒板面 @ Lintas

Kota Kinabalu Eats

In fact, Sabah Chilli Pan Mee is not a new restaurant from the block. It was quite a successful restaurant that somehow maintained their quality and makes me return for their signature dish once in a while.

There's quite a number of negative comments when they just started their business, as for now, with lots of  improvements, they are running well and opened a new branch at Gaya Street too.

 - Signature Pan Mee -

Handmade Pan Mee, Minced Pork, Anchovies, Half boiled egg, special ingredients and homemade dried chilli to be added with our preference.

The image above was taken months ago, when I first visited their restaurant while they are still new. The egg was 80% boiled, which less with its runny egg yolk. However, it used to be that, but not recent. They have improved in many site.

- How to eat? -

Mix all the ingredient and that's their signature Pan Mee. ;)

Price : $

Tawau, Sabah - Aladin Noodle House

Tawau - Part 2
Non Halal

Often heard about the delicious local dishes else where other than Kota Kinabalu offered. Shall I say, KK food often influenced by other provinces? And other provinces includes Tawau and Sandakan as well! :)

After the Sandakan food discovery, we went to Tawau for family trip and family trip meant for food too! I have a brother in law who love to eat. (lol). One of the local find out was at one of the oldest area in Tawau, having our Nasi Lemak time and Prawn Noodle time.

Interesting that they are doing well although the restaurant located at first floor and it was delicious! Tasted Malaysian with hint of Malay cuisine and Chinese!

- Nasi Lemak, Prawn Noodle and Fish slices soup -

Nothing to complain about. It taste really good. :) It's a must visit in Tawau.

- Aladin Noodle House -

It was nice having lunch at Aladin, where all that looks like the old Kota Kinabalu that once had. The people, the environment and all. :)

Sandakan, Sabah.
Restaurant - Non Halal

After the long wait at Sim Sim Water Village for our unseen breakfast, we went to the next recommended restaurant for breakfast.

- Moon 'n' Star Sang Nyuk Mian -

Packed with people and luckily our friends from KK were there too, therefore, its the fastest way to have seats and food!

Different soup base as compared from KK, having Ham Choi soup base, Tomato based, Curry based, Pepper based and more.

- Tomato based Sang Nyuk Mian -

Its a norms that Chinese loves pork (lol), when there's pork, that shop would have crowded with lots of people!

- Ham Choi based -

Interesting local food that many would like to try perhaps. As for me, the soup tasted light which I had. I love savory food taste that's why, different people having different favour.

Both both me and Mr. Hubs, Moon 'n' Star might not the right place for us. :)

Sandakan 【山打根】 : The 7th & 8th Bridge, The Seafood at Sim-Sim Water Village

We made it!

Check out from Four Point Sheraton Sandakan and immediately we went to Sim Sim. Heard about the their seafood and guess what? Way packed than you imagine.

- 7th Bridge -

We walk through 7th Bridge and the seafood restaurant we mentioned is located nearer to the 8th Bridge.

- Sim Sim Water Village -

I believe that there are still people staying in the houses and the view just inspiring. Very local type of Hong Kong scene.

Did I ever mentioned that Sandakan was also known as "Little Hong Kong"? The elder generation were came from Hong Kong back then, even the Cantonese dialect is well spoken until today.

- Sim Sim Seafood Restaurant -

We were there and waited for almost an hour with two glasses of hot beverages. About our breakfast, Gosh! We didn't even manage to have them despite of the time we are rushing for our flight soon.

Say bye to Century Egg Dumplings and Spring Noodle. :(

- Sim Sim Water Village -

Simply love Sabah. :) Good to know and exploring Sandakan lifestyle.

Sandakan Eats : Good Taste Bak Kut Teh 【山打根吃】 好味肉骨茶 Nam Tung Street

They say it is the best Bak Kut Teh in Sandakan town. There were friends who like the another one which Nam Choi BKT 南财肉骨茶 and in fact, Nam Choi BKT located at the corner end of Good Taste BKT (same row).

The high lights of Good Taste BKT is their seafood BKT while Nam Choi BKT is their PORK BKT.

- Media highlights -

It was half way lucky that we were only able to taste Good Taste BKT seafood version, while Nam Choi BKT was close on Monday. :(

- Our selection -

We suppose to try their LaiMang (a type of fish) BKT which was famous and didn't get to try it because of the staff that was NOT HELPFUL while she was taking our order. NO RECOMMENDATION etc. HOW WE KNOW WHAT'S THE BEST SELLER? Every where just good food in Sandakan. *Shake Head*

- SEAFOOD BAK KUT TEH -

We had prawn balls, meatballs, fish meat and prawns. In fact, we prefer the original pork Bak Kut Teh that we had normally, as for seafood BKT, the soup base just taste PEPPER, GINGER and relevant spices. Not my kind of selection. :) I love soup and I am very particular with it. ;)

That's all! POKEMON GO fever in town! ;) Be alert!

Nam Tung street (use Waze to search for the spot, it's that easy)

Sandakan Eat : Pork Dim Sum at Sandakan Hotel 【

Sandakan, Sabah.

It is a norms that majority of the hotels now a days are serving halal/ serve no pork. Back to Sandakan foodie findout and it was also the fourth breakfast we had that morning, after pastries at Gold Crown. Oh gosh! Second day in Sandakan was scary and high cholesterol day, I was dizzy during night. *faint*

There we went and had breakfast with Mr. Hubs' relative at Palm Garden, Sandakan Hotel. One of the two or the only one hotel that serve pork Dim Sum. The restaurant was way crowded and the service unexpectedly very slow and they need to keep up with the crowd.

- Dim Sums -

Who doesn't love Dim Sum? We could see when there's Dim Sum in local shop areas, there will be crowd!

About the taste, portion is big or normal. There's a few tray that we never tasted before in KK. :)

- Hotel Sandakan -

One of the recommended one in Sandakan. If you have the time, just be there and wait! haha! Good food are meant to wait. To avoid crowds, you might opt to be there during non peak season.

Hotel Sandakan, Town area.

KK Eats : Kedai Kopi Koki - Tasty Penang Assam Laksa found! Bundusan Pavilion

Bundusan Pavilion

Recently, it's been a while that I have noticed Bundusan Pavilion's area do offers variety of food to eat, from Japanese food, Wine cellar, cafes and local famous eateries.

Alex has been telling me about this restaurant which offers foods at reasonable price and providing satisfied portion as well. That's made me went for a try and I have been there twice last month.

Kon Lou Noodle -

Kedai Kopi Koki is a restaurant serving non halal food. Alex had Kon Lou Noodles (Sang Nyuk Mian), definitely different flavour as compared to the few famous Sang Nyuk Mian Restaurant.

Penang Assam Laksa -

I have heard about the Penang Assam Laksa that Koki Coffee Shop offers. I never tried an authentic one, therefore it is a must to try just like I told my friends. :D

Penang Assam Laksa -

The brown colour sauce is rojak sauce which taste the same like the one from Penang. The bowl of noodles is the correct noodles for Assam Laksa! The flavour was taste like Sardin and spices! It is Penang Assam Laksa!

Charlotte Credit to Charlotte -

The first phrase I have said was "IT IS SO GOOD!". Its' been so long since the last I had Zhu Chang Fen. Wow! This plate do make some credit for sure!

Overall, the shop was quite satisfied. Portion okay, reasonable price and service okay. I will visit them once in a while for breakfast. :)

KK : Annyeong Haseyo! The Bab's Korean BBQ at Likas

Another round of delicious Korean Cuisine during one fine night.

While it was Bae birthday, we went to The Bab's for a nice Korean dinner in town, some where where not many people would go.

- The Bab's -

It was our first time there, such a pretty environment at the restaurant, painted in purple and white. :) We have option to have our dinner outdoor and indoor, I'm a bit reluctant to sit out. Way to hot to dine in at Korean restaurant while we stayed in a humid environment 24/7 here.

- Appetizer/ Starter -

So many to eat while waiting for the main dishes!

- Pork Bibimbap -

By looking at it's presentation, THEY WIN IT!

- Hot Plate Bibimbap -

In fact, I love Bibimbap and we had two pots of bibimbap in addition with a plate of fried pancake. Over eating that night for two of us, but it was delicious!!

- Bibimbap -

Stirred Bibimbap! Both of them were scrumptious, tender meat as for the pork one. Stirred all of it together with their sauce, can't wait for another bite.

- Kimchi Pancake -

Kimchi pancake by The Bab's still acceptable, maybe it wasn't what I have expected. I tried a few Korean style pancake in town, I liked it and I'm still searching for the best one in town!

Overall, dinner at The Bab's was GOOD, however, the guy who took our order was a bit "gangsta" styled, I was totally surprised with the way he talk while taking our order. (No patient) *Boo*

I paid two person in total of RM78.00++ that night, gosh.
