The End of My Cuti-Cuti Malaysia 2011 - K.L., Malacca and K.L.!

I got a feeling that people always wondering why I keeps talking about destinations of Malaysia. ;)

I really hope that my life is full of laughter and continuous excitement and travels and I knew that it's impossible for a person to have such a life, unless they got the ability in generating continuous inflow of income into their pockets.

Oh well.... My holidays ended on the this Wednesday, 18th May, 2011. Take a break from work was a great energy charger and back to work was overloaded with pending jobs to be settled!

Back to the fun part! It's such a BOOM with various delicacies, tempting foodies on my trip with both of my parents and sister. Totally NYUMNYUMNYUM! Luckily I walked so much during the trip and I gained 0 - 1kg. :D

- Nyonya Colours, Mid Valley Megamall, KL -

Such a freaking scary holiday trip that you will be wondering in the future when I'm posting new posts for this Cuti-Cuti Malaysia 2011.

My uncle was listening to my conversation with my mom's staff at shop today when both of us were clicking through all my 600++ photographs and he said "My goodness! How many restaurants did you went there?". The whole list of foodies are OMG!

- Graduation Ceremony at Sime Darby Convention Centre, KL -

Where I finally reaches the huge step on my career and as a starting point to walk further to reach the next.

- Small gathering with friends at Sushi Tei, Pavilion KL after years of graduating from Degree and Advanced Diploma -

Good to see them once again, even though it was a small gathering with a few friends. At least, I still have a little space in them and they made it. :)

- Chatime-ing at Pavilion KL -

Got a few sips when they brought me to Chatime, the hot topic of KL now-a-days and manage to grab a glass when my tummy feeling better.

- Durian Cendol from Jonker 88, Malacca -

The best Durian Cendol I had from Jonker 88! I love West Malaysia Cendol and I had almost 10 bowls in this trip!

In deed, Malacca is a great place to be explored if you love heritage and historical destinations to be understood. One thing we must do when we go to Malacca - We must apply Sunblock on our skin! The Sun is a poison, my shoulder and arm are darker than my face now!!!!

- Christ Church Melaka, Malacca -

It's really hard to get a nice photographs with nice background. -_____-

Hehe ;P I love my new Nerdie Spectacle.

- Nancy's Kitchen Restaurant, Jonker Street, Malacca serving Nyonya Cuisine -

Friends told me that Malacca is full with delicious delicacies that could make us eat until puke. And YES, it does and my dad LOVE MALACCA! He wanted to go back for 2 days 1 night trip again! He love the foods there and he complaint my mom brought him eat that much. LOL

Must try famous delicacies of local restaurant at each destination we went! That's one my must do thing during my trips at any places.

- Celadon, Royal Thai Cuisine at Pavilion KL -

Had the best Thai Cuisine so far on that trip in comparison with others I tried before! And I miss it very much and same as my mom.

- Tom Yum from Celadon, Royal Thai Cuisine -

Imagine the fresh oyster, scallop, squid and the hot and saliva drooling Tom Yum taste and fragrance. *Slurp*

Going to end here and stay tuned for my food and travel for this Cuti-Cuti Malaysia 2011 lah!

Till then...

A Royal Thai Dining Experience at TamNakThai Restaurant, K. K., Sabah

It is one of the well known Thai Restaurant in town for years. Heard friends and family members who keeps praise it for a long long time.

Finally, I have the chance to go there for my first visit by celebrating Meatball's besties birthday on January this year. They served varities of dishes to meet our taste buds and their service was friendly as what it stated in their menu! I like spicy and sour food! Thai styled Tom Yum is amazing! Make me sweat and wait for my next Thai restaurant in KL post! I'm craving for it again and again! Gosh =P

- TamNakThai -

The oldest Thai Restaurant in town, established since 1995.

- The Menu -

Reasonable pricing and it's also depends on those dishes we want to have.

We ordered few usual must have dishes of Thai Cuisine from any restaurant. However, we didn't ordered much the other day, just few dishes for the night.

- Green Curry Chicken, Pineapple Rice and Pandan Chicken -

Look tasty and taste good too! I'm in love of Green Curry, even I bought few packets of Green Curry paste from Cosway to fulfill my tastebuds! Nyum!

- Pineapple Rice -

The must have pineapple rice in any Thai Restaurant.

- Pandan Chicken -

Nice fragrance of pandan chicken!

- Our Dessert for the night -

I can't remember what was it called but I know it taste yummy!

Hmm~~ Thai Cuisine become my next addiction!! ;)

Malacca... I'm here!

Hey... Updating from Malacca!

Was here since morning, walk around Jonker Street since morning and currently having rest in the hotel room.

Malacca, a nice heritage to be seen, so much tourists walking around. It is crowded here! Even the hotel I'm currently staying is a heritage building that is meaningful and re-furnished.

Going to explore Jonker Street for another time during the evening and night, mom told us that nice good food can be found here! It's food heaven as what I've been understood from my friends. ;)

Stay tuned! ;)

Hello from K. L.

Hello to my readers,

I'm currently in KL for the third day and finally sitting here waiting for Uncle Taxi to arrive and fetch us back to our hotel and enjoy the rest of my days in West Malaysia.

Well, convocation for MAICSA was nice this morning, met lecturers from TARC and that's GREAT! Felt so comfortable when we saw people that we were familiar with. Took so much photos this morning. Facebook's friends going to enjoy my photos first and I will update about current trip sometime in future! :)

This KL trip 2011 was different with different kind of food tried. I've been to Sek Yuen Restaurant, one of the oldest Chinese Restaurant in town and food was awesome, quite extraordinary indeed.

See you soon. :D

On my Thoughts and Routines in those days while living at Liverpool City, UK.

A phrase of words that we frequently heard saying that "A picture means a thousand words.".

The statement is true that we could see all the memories no matter sad or happiness, laughter, the past, the indirect stories behind some of the photographs taken and so on.

Cut the craps.

Back in Year 2008, I was one of the student who took up the Summer Programme Courses to further my studies at a City called Liverpool. Yes! There's where the famous Anfield Stadium with Liverpool Football Club is located.

- In the afternoon, we could see the locals were having their drinking session in most of the clubs in town. Took the photograph while we were having our lunch at Mc Donald, it's just located opposite as you can see -

Three months living abroad wasn't short, neither was long enough for us to explore the wonderful place of U.K. In short, I haven't enjoy much when I was studying there. However, I did not regret that I listened to my parents' advises by taking up the Course and before that, I was been advised by a so called "Nice Person" that not to take up the course and just complete my Professional and that's enough.

Since I started to work at the same firm that I was trained before, a thought of mine glanced by, that everything will be DIFFERENT if only I completed my studies with an "ADVANCED DIPLOMA CUM ICSA" (and took up the last 4 external paper after completed my studies in College) and not DEGREE or vice versa. It's just a name you may say but from what had I observed, our personality will be different when we have higher educational background and different from others. Non the least, perception of others towards us will be different too. At least for now, I got both of my Degree and MAICSA Grads. and I'm feeling good for myself.

Oh my~ I think I'm getting to much on that.

Hope I won't get my readers bored, I just want to let you all know that the world out there is competitive and we need to be competent enough to have a say or at least noticed by others and stay on our ground.

- Lime Street -

Liverpool Train Station is there and I hop in to it for only once when I went to Black Pool for a short trip and  it took us almost an hour to arrive there I suppose.

Although most of the buildings around are old and well maintained in Britain and they called it as the Listed Buildings, I still love them very much and I felt comfortable when I walk by every wherever I go. With a breezy (cold) air, it's just perfect. And every places I go, the buildings, the street, the scenery, all of them really look like PHOTOGRAPHs. It's just beautiful.

- One of the Lambanana icon around town -

Back Year 2008, Liverpool is selected as the Capital of Culture and happening events going on during the Year at Liverpool! As Lambanana was the icon of Liverpool 2008 Capital of Culture and a huge one was located near too my dormitory while others (similar size like above and larger ones) were placed every where in town and I took most of them whenever I saw one.  ;D

- The usual University Hall where we were having our lectures -

- Stalls at the Market in town -

When we were lucky, we could see different kind of markets at Liverpool High Street area with different themes.

I can't remember where did I took this, maybe Church Street or maybe others. I didn't really explored each and every places in Liverpool, but luckily I visited most of the well known places over there with all my friends. :)

- Our Dinner -

We prepared dinner for ourselves and it's satisfying and each of us contributed ideas to prepare all those and I in charged with the spaghetti sauces and Mashed Potatoes (click) most of the time! Glad they love it. :)

- Liverpool China Town -

Liverpool China Town wasn't as happening as London China Town, it's a bit scary when I passes by that area along my friends to buy some Chinese canned goods (food) etc.

- A Case History -

Found the place and it's caught on my eyes when I was walking around, the usual actions we will do are snapping photographs and to keep them as memories.

 - The Cab -

There's so many cabs in town!

- Watching movie with a price of 5.20 pound -

Totally killed ourselves and it wasn't cheap with no beverage or snacks as a package. Besides, cinemas wasn't as good as ours here. It's such a bad idea to watch movies in UK. haha :D It's one of a kind experience over there.

- Marybone -

Few of us who were staying in the same unit and it's almost the end of our semester together when we took that photo. And all of us do look different NOW!!

I think that's enough for the day. Sharing more photographs in the future.

Till you meet my Liverpool and other experiences I had during my studies abroad.

Till then...

p/s: Do you enjoy the post?

【沙巴玩】 兰脑 : 沙巴茶园 之长屋与小屋 Fun in Sabah : Ranau - Overnight at Long Houses and Cottages of Sabah Tea Garden

Continued from our previous visiting at Sabah Tea Garden's Tea House (click) and the amazing scene of the tea plantation. We continued our short tour at their accommodation offered nearby.

- Long House of Sabah Tea Garden -

The long house was originated by The Rungus ethnics from Kudat.

- Rungus Long House -

It originated from Rungus Ethnics and read some overview from my Mari-Mari Cultural Village visiting here (click)!

There are two traditional Rungus long houses that linked together and it could fit in 10 rooms with triple sharing beds in a room.

- Various patterned Batik cloths hang on the roof -

One of the long house was decorated with colourful batik cloths on the roof. From here, we can see how many rooms and how long are the long houses.

- Sharing Room with three persons in a Room at the Long House -

Suitable to those who would like to experience the village lifestyle (with basic needs) during the past (currently we still can find minority people still staying in Long Houses in rural areas) and blend in with the natural surrounding. The price offered is reasonable for those who seek for budgeted trip at Ranau area.

- Resting Place -

During the olden days, it will be a place for people to have a rest, chit chat or maybe gathered together to play traditional games.

- Ethnics of Borneo -

One by one card boards were hanged on the wall and allow tourists to know more about our ethnics here. It's kind of good thought to let tourists to understand our beautiful culture here with one stay at the long house. Besides the overview of ethnics on those card boards, the management do hang photographs, traditional items, tools and belongings of various ethnics on the bamboos wall for guests to have a look.

- Gong -

Traditional music instrument that hang between the bamboos for guests to take photographs.

The next accommodation they offered will be :

- The Cottages -

Cottages was newly built to meet tourists requirements whereby it will become one of the attraction to stay there. It's recommended to those who would love to stay overnight with more private space and comfortable with air- conditioned room.

- Lofty Hodges Cottage -

Each cottage has a name to represent itself and easier for guests to search for the cottage they are staying.

- Sharing Room -

The washroom was clean, the room was neat and I felt comfortable when I entered the cottage during the visiting.

- Praying Mantis -

Guests still can see small insects and larger sized ones at Sabah Tea Garden area. Bugs such as Praying Mantis, the beetles are there too! Especially during the night, guests could listen to sound that made by those bugs nearby.

- Batik Painting Activity -

Extra activities, entertainments and facilities offered to make guests felt comfortable and won't be bored while staying at Sabah Tea Garden.

Furthermore, the Cultural Hall is spacy for large group of people to held groups activities or maybe team building activities. Non the lest, any activities such as cultural performance need to be discussed with the management so that they could prepare all the necessities  for the night.

Sabah Tea Garden, Ranau is quite an interesting destination to visit, experiencing the tea grading and processing, smelling the fresh tea leaves from the plantation and more...

- An Old Traditional Game -

Once again, before we leave Sabah Tea Garden, we went to the souvenir shop for some shopping. TEA!! Various kind of tea bought by us! I love the smell of Pandan and the Geranium, the tea are smooth to be consume by us with no colouring added and it's ORGANIC!!

No worry, we still can find the Original Sabah Tea around town, and as for the other flavours, not much of the outlets are selling them from what have I understood.

Well, that's my review on the accommodation and my short tour at Sabah Tea Garden.

Will be visiting to Kg. Luanti later on...

with big fishes to be seen!!

So... I have been to Sabah Tea Garden!

How about you?
