Sabah 1st Monumental Bird's Nest Concept Ballroom - Promenade Hotel

Last Thursday, I've attended an Appreciation Dinner at Promenade Hotel, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

I went there with my elder sister for representing our Travel Agent Company, everyone of us had one door gift before we entered to the Hall. =)

The purpose for that night was to introduce the Master Chef from Guang Zhou, China and the newly furbished Sabah 1st Bird's Nest Rafflesia Grand Ballroom.

Pic: The exterior of the Grand Ballroom. It's look similar with the Olympic Bird's Nest (Beijing National Stadium) but not with rounded corner building.

Pic: 2009 Appreciation Dinner in conjunction with 1 Malaysia.

Pic: The new furbished hall was beautiful internally and externally. As for the lighting, it's will change according to different festival theme. Red for Chinese New Year, Green for Hari Raya, Pink for Valentine Day; Deepavali etc...

The colour for that night was the four main colour of Malaysia's flag. I can't get the whole picture, unless I took it from up above the stage or the ceiling. ;P

Pic: We had quite a fun time with all the musics, life band performance, singing and dancing performance for that night.

Pic: Master Chef from Guang Zhou creatively prepared nine (9) - course Chinese Set Dinner for all the representatives of Travel Agent, Sabah Tourism Board, Secondary Schools, Corporate partners and many others that I can't recall.

The first dish was 1 Malaysia Combination. It had a mix of seafoods, beef, mushrooms etc.

Pic: Braised Chicken with Superior Shark's Fin Soup. Chinese love this soup don't they?
The soup was full of braised chicken that we can't finish!!

Pic: Live band performance with amazing voice and exotic dances (a little).

Pic: Yam with Sago in Coconut Milk.

Pic: Kota Kinabalu's very own Emcee who have been invited for almost 200 wedding dinner or events. He can sing, tal and entertain people with laughter. The management had invited him for a song or two.

Overall, the dinner was successful and the set dinner was nice and different from any other dishes at other places or previous concept of their hotel.

p/s: Nice environment for wedding invitation or any other parties.

S E pendant

Yeah Yeah!!! Tomorrow is a Saturday~~

The first day my sisters went to Cosway's distribution centre to purchase those products for home use, one of the products for four sisters of us was S E products and my bf had one too!!! =)

The manual books written down that general discomfort such as knee, back, shoulder, ankle etc, we can place the pendant at the area that we felt pain.. Even flowers can extend their lifespan and pro long the freshness of the flowers.

For human like us, we need to drink more water after we wear the pendant and yes, I felt thirsty when I'm wearing it.

HOWEVER, some may experience initial discomfort. E.g. light dizziness, chest tightness (I suppose it is just the same like the feeling in his heart and my bf too)

Me and my younger sister gave the pendant to our bf and within one hour after they wear the pendant around their neck, they felt pain in their heart and I just wonder why? AND guess what, my bf can't sleep after wearing it on the first day.

Second experience (because I'm uncertain about the chest tightness) -
I tested the pendant by placing an ice on top of the pendant (I tested it according to the Cosway catalog) ... AND its amazing that the ice melt faster than the ice that I placed at another plate without the pendant. Hmm....

Third experience (Still cannot believe that pendant can really work that way) -
Tested by using my friend's plastic cup of YOYO's green tea without ICE, place below that cup and after a while ( around 5 minutes or more), he drink the tea, and he says that "Wow!!! The drink wasn't sweet anymore!!!" (The answer just voice out like that.. Amazing...) -He's not making fun of me..

Fourth experience -
I placed the pendant below my water bottle... and the water taste different than before... Yay!!! It's unbelievable...

Furthermore, I saw the words by some other witnesses in the catalog that how amazing the pendants was... Eg. body adour (for real) really gone etc... AND I think that Yup!!! It increase my flexibility by standing up and bend my back lower and nearer to my feet.

S E pendant can be trusted.

p/s: My bf wear it again today and he didn't felt chest tightness for the mean time.

pic ----->> Cosway's Catalog.

The retail price for the pendant was RM280.00.
As you may see RP means Redemption Point (benefits for members).

E-Cosway

Nothing special....
Still busying.... No where to go, nothing special happened around me...

Hmm.... let me think first.... A new thing that I knew lately--->>

e-Cosway --- Involving myself and my sisters in e-Cosway.

(Based on the information I knew)

If you know about Cosway, then you should understand some extend of e-Cosway. A new type of business for new generation, involving electronic usage of internet. Earning money from points bla bla bla...

It sells products from beauty, tit bits, toys, D.I.Y hair tools, perfumes (Burberry, Ninna Ricci etc etc...

The more products a consumer/member bought, the more points we get and the more coupon for exchange.

The new generation of e-Cosway allow consumers to purchase goods directly from any e-Cosway outlet (In some future time/ now - E.g. Watson),

AND not over the counter just like the old way (distributor to members) where only members can buy Cosway's products.

Well... future information I knew will be posted.

The night was getting late... and I'm working tomorrow... Not really in the mood of writing blogs... A little bit of mood swing.. My pimples are popping out!!! *Ish**

Good night..

xoxo

Pic: Part of the products which Cosway sold.
I started using the Goat Milk facial cleanser, hmm....waiting for the effect....

Sweet Daily Bakery at Damai, K. K., Sabah

It was an French look alike kind of Bakery which operated by Koreans.

It was located at Damai, which took a few steps walks from Devils Pub or behind of Watson.

As a confession, the cakes & biscuits was wonderful in term of its appearances and its 100% flavored. Its gives 100% satisfaction that the cakes are made of 100% butter that smells great!! And about cakes or biscuits that made of Belgium chocolates...And i meant Belgium CHOCOLATE!!!

The interior design was amazing & cozy type of shop. That make us unwilling to leave the shop, because the cakes ,biscuits etc was too beautiful~~~

While we are surveying the shop, I noticed that the owner --- a petite girl had France's Certificate for the profession that she's in which was Baking, pastries or maybe dessert etc..

I saw some cute designed decoration biscuit that we are not advisable to eat (even can eat, it would taste awful) which cost RM6.00 each and we bought some too.(the picture below) --The ring, the gown, and the Heart.

Besides, we saw a cake that specially booked by a guy and specially made for his girl that says " XXXXX my love". and the cake designed with small 3D flower that normally we cover up the cakes' beside to look pretty.

My elder sister bought some cakes for our afternoon tea when we are back at shop.
I can't remember what's its name...but I try to explain how it's tasted.

The chocolate cake was almost 100% belgium type of chocolate that we won't felt sweet at the first bite but I felt like eating chocolate. Chocolate Lover should love this!!

The one with fluffy fresh cream topping was delicious!!! *****two thumbs up*** I can't stop eating that.

The layered with white cream chocolate cake.... I can't remember. But it seems delicious too..

Well... the price a bit costly, which cost almost the same price with the Cakes sold at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf or Starbucks, but even smaller in size compared with others.

The biscuit was ranged from RM6.00 and above. The biscuits/ cookies designed perfectly adorable that I think I won't eat it... Some of the design was the ginger man and ginger lady, Heart shaped and some other that too much to mentioned.

Go & have a look!!! Have a bite too!!!

Weston Wetland Sanctuary, Beaufort/ Sipitang - Part II

La la la la la~~~

HAPPY LABOR DAY FOR FRIDAY!! Happy holiday & happy weekend!!

Well well... continue from Part I of Weston trip.. ;)

Around 5 p.m, we sat on the boat and we had our boat ride for about 5 minutes or less than that and we reached the first destination to see the famous Proboscis Monkey at those crowded trees.

We saw three types of Monkey.
Pic: Normal Grey Monkey.

The third type of Monkey was Silver Leaf, but the picture I took was too small...*sigh**

Further for our boat ride, we saw a native houses beside the river side. Those children was waving their hand at us... "HI HI!!"

Besides, at night those houses was shine by a bold light and outside the house was so dark that we can't see anything without the torch light.

Here... The day was getting darker & the sky was beautiful...

AND ''deng deng deng"~~

We saw baby crocodiles!!! Scary~~ We knew that there were huge crocodiles there...Yay!!

Around 7.30pm, we had our dinner ---- Local Dinner, Malaysian style with local Weston Prawns,
local vegetables with sambal, chicken, sambal with eggs.... Yummy!! and additional food keeps coming although we had finish the small portion of the food served.

About the environment at the restaurant, it was beautiful =)

Normal white rice and yellow rice a.k.a. Oil Rice.

After the nice Dinner, we had local dessert /tits bites.

After the short dinner. We continue our boat ride to see those fire flies and it was amazing =)
It was blinking like the lights for Christmas tree. At last I saw real fire flies.. so small that it fly beside us.

Weston Wetland Sanctuary, Beaufort/ Sipitang - Part I

I'm happy that my friends visited Sabah, Land Below the Wind on last week. I had met them when they are going to Manukan Island. Kindly visit Mayyi's Blog for her trip in Sabah...=)

On 29th of March 2009, more than 12 of us went for an outing at Weston Wetland Sanctuary with the services provided by Tropical Holidays Paradise.

Before we continue our precious journey, we went to Moon Bell Restaurant opposite Wisma Merdeka for our Lunch. And our friends felt satisfied with the foods provided.

At 2.30pm (30 minutes behind scheduled), we continued our journey to Beaufort/Sipitang by hopping in to our tour bus/van, and one private car.=)

As a confession, the Sun was surely Hot & shine like a Hot Spot Light on our journey. See the below picture, I used 2 cardigan/jacket to cover up.

After 2 hours on road journey ----->> We reached Weston at 4.30pm.

Although it was silents all around, but there were people (one of them was the "old man" of the Village) welcomed us & bring us to visit the village by foot.

The first thing that caught our eyes was the signboard of antique 7 UP...Wow~~~

Saw the bridge, it was the path way into the village.

Aww.... Before I forgot, I would like to give a brief introduction about Weston.

The villagers at Weston are mostly/ all of them are Brunei-ans, they hang Brunei's King photo at their house as a sign of respect to their King.

The main source of living came from the Fishes, prawns etc around there. The main job by those villagers are Fisherman and some of their children went the the Town to work and go back during weekend. Besides, the houses we seen are above the sea water or mud when we move further to the end of the village.

As for the business man around there, mostly are Hokkien.

Pic: The shell that covered most of the house beside, heard that it had some usage for the villagers living there. (one of the source of living).

When we walked further, we saw Monkeys on top of a house. And I walked further to took some pictures in closer view. Heard that those Monkey was too clever that, its went in to houses & open the refrigerator for foods... LOL

After a while of walks, we came to the Old Man's house for a cup of tea. There house was huge although it was a Kampung house above the water. The first step into the house, we saw tea & some local food for us to fill our tummy.

See the furniture? Nice right?

Saw the tea/ coffee that filling the cup. The owner of the house told us that it was all the way from Brunei. Taste Good.

Besides, the lady of the house we visited taught us the proper way of sitting on the floor where our leg should be putting toward the left or right side and not sitting down like a man --- X (imagine how a man would sit on the floor, then you know what I'm expressing)

The prawn "kuih" was nice, and every other tits bites too.

After the nice tea break, we continue our journey. We saw one or two Chinese a.k.a Hokkien villagers staying at Weston. By the way the Old Man knew how to talk in Hokien!!

We walked to the Jetty for our boat trip. And before that, the picture below was the "Keropok" / chips factory owned by the Old man who bring us around the village.

For your information, the big logs that build into Jetty once upon a time was over 100 years old.

But we are not using that as the main Jetty, the main Jetty just next to it.

Part II of Weston Trip will be blog on next entries... Please stay tune!!

Chocolate by SIngapore

Well.... Is been a tiring day today.... How was yours?
My ankle in pain too...can't run & walk faster... I' walking like a grandma...*sniff sniff*

Last month, a friend of my elder sister came to visit/on business purposes at Sabah.
Few of them was from Singapore and they knew that my mom loves chocolates or chocolates can be known as the best gift ever as it was presentable too.

See!!! The lion representing S'pore. It was tasty with the Macadamia Nuts... Besides, the person even gave us biscuits with a pattern that looks the same as the chocolate.Yummy!!!
